A candidate for local government in Indiana has gone viral for her blunt rebuke of Republicans during a televised candidate forum.

Fayette County Council candidate Jaime West played it loose but told it straight when asked what unpopular decision she might make in office that would serve the community’s best interest.

“Firing all Republicans,” she said, looking right at the camera. “I wouldn’t let them, I mean, I don’t even talk to them. I don’t like them.”

“I mean, what do you want me to say?” West asked, tossing up her hands. “I don’t like being around them. I mean, y’all did this to us. You all voted for us. You made this happen, this ICE coming into our communities, stealing people’s jobs.”

She let out a huge groan before turning her attention to one specific type of conservative, saying, “I’ve been threatened so many times to my face by MAGA, we’ll call them, because there’s Republicans who actually get it, you know.”

“There are good Republicans out there, but then there’s these MAGAs who are just racist and aren’t very intelligent at all. They call you names,” she continued, cocking her eyes at viewers.

“The sheriff’s nephew threatened to blow my head off,” the Democrat claimed, then adding, “But you know, what are you gonna do?”

West finished with a real mic drop when asked for her final words to voters, letting her eyes go wide as she told everyone watching, “We have guns too.”
