Actor Mia Goth has filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf, her husband of 10 years. Multiple outlets reported that Goth, best known for her roles in “The Odyssey” and “Frankenstein,” filed documents in court on Tuesday asking to end her marriage to the “Transformers” star. Goth cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, and noted that she and LaBeouf have been separated since July 28, 2025. She is asking for primary legal and physical custody of their daughter, Isabel, 4, and wants to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to either party. A source close to the couple told People in February that the relationship “has always been complicated,” but that the two had an especially tough time in 2025. The source said Goth “encouraged” LaBeouf to move out and that while she loves him, “she also doesn’t need him,” adding that “she’s very independent.” The couple’s demise isn’t much of a shocker, considering they have had an on-and-off relationship since they first met in 2012 on the set of “Nymphomaniac: Vol. II.” They reportedly married in 2016. The couple then announced a split in 2018, and LaBeouf dated singer FKA Twigs in 2019, only to seemingly reconcile with Goth in 2020 before dating Margaret Qualley later that year. They reunited once again in 2021 and welcomed their daughter a year later. Goth’s divorce request comes a day after LaBeouf settled a lawsuit with Twigs for the second time, according to The Associated Press. The 37-year-old English singer and actor had previously sued LaBeouf on grounds that he was physically and emotionally abusive to her during their relationship. But Twigs filed a request in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday to dismiss her case against the actor with prejudice, meaning it can’t be filed again. Neither Goth nor LaBeouf immediately responded to HuffPost’s request for comment.
