Jimmy Fallon Pinpoints ‘Exact Moment’ GOP Candidate Lost His Race

It almost seems like Vivek Ramaswamy works out exclusively with Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kid Rock. The billionaire businessman and Republican candidate for governor in Ohio completely flubbed a classic political move at a rally in Vandalia on Saturday — and Jimmy Fallon couldn’t help but mock the now-viral moment on “The Tonight Show” Monday. “It’s fun to have a video of the exact moment you lost your campaign,” Fallon joked after watching a clip of the blip that made him recoil with secondhand embarrassment. Ramaswamy, who appeared alongside President Donald Trump at Saturday’s rally, was speaking to the crowd when he spotted a boy and girl in the audience holding signs, according to footage published by Right Side Broadcasting on Facebook. The politician read their signs aloud for the audience. One sign read: “My dad is deployed. Proud military kid for Trump.” Ramaswamy then invited the boy, who said he was 10, up onstage and attempted to pull a quintessential political gesture by picking him up. Unfortunately, as he tried to lift the child, the candidate almost dropped him. “Big guy!” Ramaswamy muttered as the boy’s little limbs flung about.
