I swear by this fan in the slightly taller version! (The 42-inch isn't on sale, but it's the same deal.) I live in an apartment with a wall air-conditioning unit that simply DOES NOT do the trick when it's 90+ degrees outside. This gizmo is an absolute lifesaver. The air actually feels COOL, and it's so quiet that if the air weren't blowing on me, I wouldn't even know it was on. I love how adjustable the fan speed is and that you have options to let it rotate or not, because I work from home and I am very picky about my working environment.
