Margot Robbie is switching up her surname.

The “Barbie” actor discreetly changed her last name after almost 10 years of marriage, according to documents filed on Sept. 21 for the star’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.

The records show that Robbie, who is married to Tom Ackerley, has changed her name from “Margot Elise Robbie” to “Margot Elise Ackerley.” The actor will likely keep “Robbie” for her professional work.

The “I, Tonya” star and film producer first met in 2014 on the set of the film “Suite Française.” They later tied the knot in December 2016.

Robbie didn’t initially envision a married life with Ackerley, as she told Vogue in 2016 that she was “the ultimate single gal” when they met.

“The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me,” she said, adding that the two were “friends for so long.”

“I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him,’” she said. “And then it happened, and I was like, of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.”

The two recently welcomed their first child together, a boy, in October 2024. They have not shared their son’s name publicly.
