“Daily Show” host Desi Lydic didn’t stand on ceremony Thursday to shred President Donald Trump’s scaredy-cat moment with Xi Jinping at Joint Base Andrews.

Lydic explained that the Chinese president’s state visit, which began with pomp and circumstance on the tarmac, could score “a major foreign policy win for the president.”

It didn’t work out so well on the red carpet.

“Trump picked him up at the airport?” Lydic remarked. “OK, that is friendship. I don’t even pick my own kid up at the airport. But the other reason to meet Xi at the airport was so that Trump could impress him with a flyover of B-1 bombers.”

“Let’s show China that America never wavers and never flinches,” she added.

On cue, a replay appeared of Trump cringing as if the planes were going to land on his head.

The comedian couldn’t contain her reaction.

“Oh, my God, that is so embarrassing,” she said. “Why did you wince like that? You are the one who ordered the flyover! It’s like when a baby farts so loud that it scares itself.”

It’s never good when you’re compared to a farting baby, Mr. President.

“Anyway, this is not a good omen for negotiations with China,” Lydic continued. “There are major issues at stake here: trade, AI, the war with Iran. Now President Xi knows all he has to do to rattle Trump is drop a book on the floor.”

Another lowlight emerged when Xi made it to the White House. Trump tried to wring laughs out of the dictator by showing off the autopen photo that replaced President Joe Biden’s portrait on the Presidential Walk of Fame.

“The most un-American thing an American president has ever done,” ex-Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) wrote on X.
