'She Lowers Her Brassiere': Jesse Watters' Take On Trump's $5,000 'Bribe' Is Bonkers

Jesse Watters likened President Donald Trump’s $5,000 “bribe” offer for voters to a woman in one of his more sexist takes on anything ― if that’s possible. The Fox News host floated his comparison Thursday on “The Five,” oozing trademark smarm after Trump promised to send Americans a $5,000 “dividend” if “the Republicans win” November’s elections. Trump made the deal during his keynote speech at the GOP’s midterm convention, so he got plenty of mileage out of it. “The $5,000 check, Dana, that is not a bribe,” Watters told fellow panelist Dana Perino. “We’re calling it an enticement. We don’t know if the check will ever get there. What happens if the Republicans take the House and they balk and don’t write the checks? It’s not Trump’s fault. He just blames Congress.” Then he dropped his hot take. “It’s like a woman,” he said. “Sometimes a woman can entice you, OK? Maybe she lowers her brassiere.” Watters gestured as if he were doing so. “It doesn’t mean you’re going home with her, but it keeps you interested,” he continued. “It keeps you intrigued and wanting more. That’s what this is about.” “That was your takeaway?” Perino asked. “That was mine,” Watters said. Many have called the suggested payment a “bribe.” There is debate about whether his bombast reached such depths, whether it is legal or if he’d even follow through if it were to happen. But that isn’t looking likely. Democrats appear poised to take the House, and even the Senate seems to be a possibility.
