Megyn Kelly Goes On Tirade After Hollywood Icon Talks About Her Black Kids

Megyn Kelly had a tirade Thursday over, of all things, Sandra Bullock’s concerns about parenting her two Black kids. Bullock appeared on the Today Show earlier this week to promote “Practical Magic 2,“ her new film with Nicole Kidman. During her interview, the 62-year-old Oscar winner opened up about the challenges she’s had parenting two Black kids: Louis, 16, whom she adopted in 2010; and 13-year-old Laila, whom she adopted five years later. “I’m uber paranoid, and they will tell you,” Bullock said about her kids. “They’re like, ‘Mom, it’s gonna be fine.’ I’m like, ‘It’s not fine. It’s not fine outside.’ The energy that is floating around our country and our world again.” Bullock also quickly pointed out that her fame won’t necessarily help them, since there’s no obvious family resemblance. “The color of their skin... they’re my babies, they’re my life, but no one knows that when they leave my house,” she said. “So that is always in the forefront of my mind. I’m now learning to trust them. Where they are now is extraordinary.” Bullock’s comments about wanting to protect her Black kids from anything that might hurt them apparently really ticked off Kelly. “She wants you to believe, just like LeBron James said post-COVID, that Black men are being hunted in the streets of America, post-George Floyd,” Kelly said. She added: “[Bullock] is a low-information voter, obviously, who has bought the lies about police, the false narrative that has besmirched them, defamed them, and gotten Black Americans killed. Thousands of them. Thousands killed because of fake narratives about the police that caused the police to pull back, especially in underserved communities.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
