Bitcoin (BTC-USD) opened at $65,605.45 on Wednesday, down 1% from Tuesday's open but up 6.4% from this time last week. The price of bitcoin was $64,644 as of 7:29 a.m. ET this morning. Ethereum (ETH-USD) opened at $1,790.68 on Wednesday, 0.2% lower than Tuesday's opening price, yet 9.3% higher than last week’s opening figure. Ethereum prices this morning shifted to $1,764.79 as of 7:29 a.m. ET. Crypto and precious metal prices are faring much better than last week. Bitcoin prices and ethereum prices are up 6.4% and 9.3%, respectively, compared to one week ago. With the Fed, under new President Kevin Warsh, set to conclude its two-day policy-setting meeting today and with a hopeful signing of a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran on Friday, investors are optimistic, but still proceeding with caution. If the world can see true progress following a treaty signed on Friday, primarily the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, crypto prices are bound to see an additional lift.
