President Donald Trump on Thursday was given one of his most over-the-top fake awards yet when a Republican candidate for Congress handed him a “Man of the Century” certificate.

Joe Mitchell, who is running for a House seat in Iowa, called it a “disgrace” that Trump hasn’t been given a Nobel Peace Prize.

“So what I came up with, Mr. President, it’s a new award, it’s called the Man of the Century Award, OK?” he said, holding up a framed certificate and saying that Trump had earned it because “this man has done more for humanity and for America than any other president ever.”

If that wasn’t enough, Mitchell also thanked Trump for being “the greatest president we’ve ever had.”

Trump mouthed a “wow” as Mitchell handed him the certificate.

Trump has openly thirsted for awards from an Emmy to a Pulitzer, but has been most desperate for a Nobel Peace Prize. He’s fixated on it for years and has complained publicly about the fact that former President Barack Obama has one and he does not. Trump, in fact, thinks he should have “four or five” of them by now.

To fill that void, Trump suitors frequently give him awards of their own, from real ones ― Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado gave him her Nobel Peace Prize ― to fake ones, such as the “FIFA Peace Prize” bestowed on the president by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Critics on social media called out this latest one as an obvious sham:
