Jaime West, a Democrat running for local office in Indiana, did her first large-scale interview since that clip of her went viral last week — and she was fired up to tackle questions and taunts on Piers Morgan’s podcast.

West became an internet sensation thanks to a televised candidate forum from earlier this month in which she bluntly said that, if elected, one decision she would make that might be unpopular but she thinks is in the county’s best interest would be “firing all Republicans,” adding that MAGA supporters are “racist” and “aren’t very intelligent at all.” She concluded her appearance by reminding viewers that Democrats “have guns too.”

Morgan began the interview on his “Uncensored” podcast with West on Monday by asking her if she was inebriated during the interview that made her a star.

“I had a Coors Light. I had a beer. Mm-hmm,” West admitted with zero shame.

Morgan then pressed if it was just one beer.

“What do you want me to say, man? I had three beers! OK?” West eventually admitted, explaining that she “was nervous” at the time because she was speaking in a room “full of Republicans.”

“Do you accept that you may have been a little intoxicated?” Morgan asked.

“Not that intoxicated,” West shot back incredulously. “But I do know what I’m talking about with Indiana politics.”

Morgan then proceeded to read off some of West’s more viral quotes about Republicans from the forum and asked, “Is there anything you said whilst under the influence of your beers that you now — with the benefit of hindsight — maybe wish you hadn’t said?”

“No!” West said. “I say it all the time. I’m not friends with [Republicans]. I don’t like them. They voted for all this that’s happening and to our country! We have a constitutional crisis! We have an illegal war going on! … I have every right to be angry, and so does every American.”

Morgan then shifted tactics by pointing out that Ben Ferguson, the co-host of “The Verdict With Ted Cruz,” was also on the show at the moment.

“Would you say that he’s racist and dumb?” Morgan asked West.

“I don’t know. I never met the guy! I’ve never heard of him,” West said.

Morgan then asked Ferguson what he thought of West.

Ferguson responded by saying he’s now an advocate of candidates drinking “before debates” because then he “might actually find out what they believe in.” But then he pivoted by insisting that West was completely tanked during her forum, although she had previously implied that she was a little buzzed at best.

“I also want to know, like, what size Coors Lights do you drink? It’s got to be like 36 to 64 ouncers,” Ferguson said. “Like, is it a keg stand and then you answer a political question?”

West initially laughed at Ferguson’s remarks about her drinking, but looked visibly concerned as Ferguson went on to twist West’s quotes about the GOP.

Ferguson said West’s statements about firing all Republicans included civil servants like trash collectors and police officers.

West was quick to call out Ferguson.

“I think you’re taking that a little bit out of context,” West said, later clarifying that she was speaking about Republican “politicians” whose “salaries we pay.”

When Ferguson insisted that’s not what she said, and hammered on the idea that she was a drunken fool, a visibly frustrated West fired back: “Take it as you want! I said what I said! Fire the Republican politicians.”

Morgan went on to ask West if she actually owned a gun. West admitted she personally did not, but her “libertarian” husband owns “seven or eight.”

“Would you use his guns?” Morgan asked.

“I wouldn’t use any guns,” West said. “I’m a sign holder.”

She went on to offer some context about her gun remark at the forum by telling Morgan that locals who identify as MAGA supporters have previously tried to intimidate and silence her. She shared a story about being threatened with a gun by the nephew of a sheriff in a neighboring town after a No Kings protest. West said the incident happened very quickly and occurred in front of law enforcement, which didn’t do anything about it.

While West told this story and continued talking, Ferguson could be seen snickering at her, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. Eventually, West had enough of his smug behavior.

“Dude, I asked for [former Vice President] Mike Pence,” West said to Ferguson about her choice of guest for her interview with Morgan. “I don’t know who the hell you are!”

Morgan then went on to ask West if she had a “sneaky beer” before this interview.

“No,” West said.

“Not even one?” Morgan asked.

“Not even one,” West said.

“If you became a politician, would you carry on drinking beer or would you give it up, do you think?” Morgan asked.

This is when West unleashed a true gem.

“I don’t know? Why don’t you ask Pete Hegseth, who is drinking whiskey as he’s running an illegal war,” West said of the Defense secretary while she pantomimed taking shots. “Why don’t you ask him that?”

During the interview, West attempted to talk about issues and policies she’d tackle if elected to the Fayette County Council, while both Morgan and Ferguson constantly spoke over her and tried to position her as a laughingstock.

After Morgan posted a link to his interview with West on X Monday, plenty of users were impressed by the way West handled herself.

Three beers and still makes more sense than any Republican out there

3 coors is the equivalent to mouthwash to freshen your breath. Calm down, Piers. Women are speaking.

She can do this job drunk and still do a WAY better job and with more integrity than ANY republican

I like her. If you were running for office in deep red maga land they would drive you to drink too 🤣
