As a Deputy Editorial Director for BuzzFeed’s shopping team, I love to get into the weeds of why a product’s worth the money by deep diving into customer reviews, and product-testing as much as possible.

Your time is precious and you should spend more of it doing what you like, whether that's playing tug-o'-war with your dog, rewatching season one of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, or picking a book off of your TBR list. (I can't suggest RHOA enough!) I tracked down some items that'll help you cleverly cut some daily corners so you can rack up some time doing stuff you'd like.

Promising review: "For those not fully familiar with how it works, what it's accomplishing is trying to surround your liquid with as much ice-behind-metal as possible. So, it has a center chamber of ice behind the metal, then an outer chamber of ice. The inner chamber fits inside the outer with about a cup's worth of space that's between the inner and outer chamber. This exposes your liquid to the greatest surface area of super-cold metal that they can, and since your liquid is only touching metal, and not the ice itself, it doesn't matter the temperature of the liquid poured in. You can pour in boiling water and while it may end up melting a bunch of the ice behind the metal, none of that water will mix with your drink. So, whether you're chilling a wine, dropping hot coffee to cool it off, or just wanting to rapidly drop the temp of that fresh lemonade you made without making it watery, this will get that done." —P. Ericksen

Promising review: "This is quite possibly the coolest, most versatile kitchen gadget I’ve ever owned. I love it so much that I’ve purchased two more for friends and relatives. What can it do? I think the real question is 'What can’t it do?' I truly believe you could replace every cooking appliance (including your oven and stove top) and do EVERYTHING in the Instant Pot. I purchased two sizes for my own use: the 3-quart (which is my almost-every-day workhorse for two person dishes) and the 8-quart (which I bring out to handle my dinner party dishes). Everything I’ve tried has been fabulous. In the realm of kitchen appliances, there is no better investment than the Instant Pot. Highly recommended!!!" —Stereoman

Reviewers love this because it doesn't require you to "smart enable" other parts of your home, and you can also set a schedule to automate different functions in your home! Also, just note if you want to connect with Alexa or Google Home, you'll need a Hub Mini.

Promising review: "This is exactly what I was looking for and had no idea it existed until I saw someone mention it on TikTok! Our front walkway gets pretty dark at night, and I was frustrated with trying to remember to turn on the light every evening and off every morning. I looked into those light sensors you can plug in, but our front porch light is under an awning with enough shade that it would have kept the light on 24/7. This little Switchbot solved the problem. I applied it to the indoor light switch and set the time on my phone. It has worked perfectly ever since." —Alecia McLochlin

I live in an apartment without a dishwasher, and I honestly use that as an excuse to order takeout food instead of cooking. But, as soon as I got my hands on a bottle of this stuff (regular Dawn is my go-to dish soap, BTW), I put it to use on both a saucepan I used to make homemade enchilada sauce *and* the casserole dish I baked those enchiladas, which had a ton of caked-on food. It really does work like I say it does! Like, scary well.

Promising review: "This Baby Brezza has been one of the best purchases I have made for my baby. Prepare the bottle in seconds, with the perfect temperature and the exact amount of water and formula. It has saved me a lot of time, especially during the early mornings when the baby cries and needs to eat immediately.

It is very easy to use and clean. You just have to make sure to give it the recommended maintenance and it works wonderfully. I have never had problems with her and she has made my routine as a mother much easier.

I recommend it 100% to any parent who uses formula. Totally worth the investment!" —Osmaidy

My colleague and new mom Emma Lord is obsessed: "I lived in a tiny NYC apartment when my son was born, so making space on the counter for this was a gamble, but oh my STARS, I would have been lost without it. As a first-time, very anxious solo mom who was deeply overwhelmed by the number of bottles my VERY HUNGRY late-term preemie went through, I was both on high alert about everything being perfectly sterilized and also the amount of upkeep bottles took. This bottle washer made everything a breeze. As soon as I hit four bottles, I just filled up the reservoir tank, plopped the bottles in with one of the detergent tablets, and watched all the bottles magically get taken care of in an hour without the hullabaloo of running the dishwasher or boiling water on the stove. I adore mine so much that I put stickers all over it to express my undying gratitude. (You can see in the photos I also decorated the Baby Brezza — my version isn't on sale, but the Baby Brezza Formula Pro is 20% off, and having a Brezza if you're formula feeding at all is also worth its weight in gold!)"

Promising review: "Unfortunately, I, like many, suffer from bad breath and have tried so many things to stop it. I read that sometimes it's the germs on your tongue that can cause it, so I went crazy trying to brush my tongue. Of course, we all know how that ends — gagging, watery eyes, and it still looks like that gross film is on your tongue. I finally decided that maybe it was time to get a tongue cleaner, and it had to be a stainless steel one because they are easier to clean and sterilize. This product is really easy to use, and I can get very far back on my tongue without activating my gag reflex. Also, it doesn't have the feeling that brushing with a toothbrush does. This cleaner just glides across my tongue, taking all the icky germs and bad breath with it. I love my nice new fresh breath and bolster of confidence!" —jordanlauren

I've been testing out the whitening version of this toothpaste, and it works just as well as any drugstore brand toothpaste without irritation. (I'll occasionally get irritation from whitening strips and treatments, and space them out because of it, but I've had none with this!) My mouth just FEELS cleaner when I use this, and it's even easier to use my tongue scraper after brushing, too! I think this has earned a spot as my new go-to.

Click & Carry is a Shark Tank and QVC-featured small business that specializes in easy carry accessories.

Promising review: "TikTok made me buy it. This is great when you have a few bags and a box — for example, if you balance the bags, you can throw it over your shoulder and walk inside and have two free hands to carry the box, which is great. Product seems well built, and is comfortable on your shoulder or hand because of the padding." —Hung

I've used this hack to get rid of coffee stains in white mugs with another brand's denture/retainer cleaners and found it's most effective when used with boiling instead of room temp water.

Promising review: "Not only does it work perfectly on my grinder guard, but I used it on a water bottle and a coffee mug, and it was perfectly clean. Had a mint flavor, so that’s the only reason I washed them. Got the coffee stain out and everything." —Rachel

Promising review: "These have been great to use. Cooking for just one person isn't the easiest thing for me, but these portions have been great when I want mac 'n' cheese, nachos, or a small smothered burrito for one. I'm sure when it's camping time these will make it into my camping stash." —M. Cheatham

Promising review: "I bought this so my puppies could traverse to/from their backyard pen area...and keep flying insects out. It is AWESOME! The puppies figured out quickly that they could go through the screen — the screen snapped back into a closed state immediately after they got through the opening. If only all things in life could be solved this easily!" —Lynette S Quigley

Promising review: "Before: three remotes, one for the screen (on/off), a separate one for the sound system (volume) and of course the fire stick remote. After: just the one convenient integrated unit. No more scrambling to find the which remote to do what I want, cause it's all right there in the one unit. I wish I'd have bought one years ago cause the multi-remote tango got old real fast." —Chapman B.

Promising review: "I love everything about this item. This is my second one. We use one for Lego Duplos and the other I got for our massive Fisher-Price Little People collection. It's expensive but worth every penny! If you have to scoop small toys into a bin daily...do it. It works exactly as it says and makes cleanup of small items a breeze." —R. Stratton

Promising review: "The water recently changed in our areas, and I noticed this awful blue staining. I had used this back in August and let it sit overnight, and it worked wonders! It worked so well, I purposely let my shower get gross again to take a picture to share with others. I work a demanding schedule and do not have time for deep cleaning ALL the time. This works wonders without scrubbing and no horrific fumes. I bought it for my almost 70-year-old Mom, too. She was so sick of scrubbing. Now she uses it bi-weekly! Highly recommend!" —Amelia

It's super quick to install, and one cartridge can last up to three months!

Promising review: "I have hard water, and the constant ring in the toilet was super aggravating. This little thing took all of 30 seconds to install, and has kept my bowl ring-free for over a month now. I LOVE it. I can smell the bleach a tiny bit when the toilet is flushed, but that's not a bad thing; I kinda like that, as I know it's working. Also, excellent design that delivers on its promises. Please run and check out one of these for every toilet in your house." —AmazonShopper

Promising review: "I'm a clean freak with hard water, and this stuff took off the build-up like magic. I would recommend using a slightly damp scratch pad. It takes a little elbow grease, but I have tried a ton of products, and this one is the only one that worked!" —Lori

Promising review: "I was thoroughly impressed with this dry shampoo. It's affordable, effective, and everyone compliments how great I smell when I use it. Two bottles lasted me a few months. It does have a white cast, but that can easily be worked into the hair to become undetectable." —Meg B.

Psst — Batiste has had a version for brown hair for awhile. You can get that for $17.49.

Promising review: "But my son has really thick and curly hair, no brush would be of much help with it. They would pull out his hair no matter how I brushed it. He would scream from the time he seen me coming with the brush until I was done. This brush has helped soooooo much. He will sit and watch TV every night while I brush through his hair and not mind it at all. The way the brush is designed and separates it don’t pull out his hair I love it and he loves it he even brushed his own hair with it. I definitely recommend this brush for anyone with thick curly hair!" —Danielle Beller

It has automated self-emptying, self-washing roller mops, self-refilling, hot air drying, and more.

Promising review: "Very easy to use and set up, I like the auto detergent feature. It's missing features from other flagships, like being able to access the camera, being able to run mop-only jobs, or vacuum-then-mop jobs, which I would really like to see added in the future. I have a very pet hair-friendly home, and it's had no issue keeping up with that. No clogs to speak of so far. I did have some dog fluff get tangled in the extendable brush arm, but it was easy enough to remove. Obstacle avoidance is okay; it sees larger objects and avoids them. It pulled the cable out of my electric couch, which was probably hard to see as it was black against a dark floor; other cables it avoided well. It's navigated under chairs and tables, which was a pain point on previous vacs, that was really good to see. It got stuck on a coat rack leg, which was odd but again not a big deal. Overall, I'm very happy with its performance, no hair tangles on the brush roller, and it uses mopping water efficiently. Areas of improvement will likely come in later revisions, such as better cameras/obstacle avoidance, more mopping pressure, etc. Overall, I'm very pleased with it and think it's one of the best options for your money in the sub $1000 price point." —Zero3
