Ma’am, have you heard of weather stripping?

As a Deputy Editorial Director for BuzzFeed’s shopping team, I love to get into the weeds of why a product’s worth the money by deep diving into customer reviews, and product-testing as much as possible.

Feeling that little nip in the air is thrilling. That also means that you've got some stuff to do at home to get ready for colder weather. Sure sure, there's switching out your seasonal clothes. But there are parts of your home that need some extra attention in October, too! Like some couch arms with tattered threads that could use a little love from a fabric shaver while you have the gadget out for your overcoat. Or a drafty door that is in serious need of weatherstripping so you aren't heating more rooms than you'd like. Here, I gathered some cheap and easy fixes you can and *should* do in October before things get really cold. 

Promising review: "Works just as intended. Strong magnet, and it does not rattle. I was concerned that it wouldn't work well because the deflector only covers the vent a little more than halfway. I was wrong. All air deflects in the intended direction." —Dre'
