In the wake of White House press secretary Katie Zacharia’s dismissal on Friday, MS NOW host Chris Hayes highlighted a telling trend about firings and resignations during the second Trump administration.

Hayes pointed out that the majority of resignations and firings of high-level officials during President Donald Trump’s nearly two years back in office have been women.

“He has no loyalty to any of these people or anyone. Especially, we have to note, the women who work for him, who have left or been forced out of the administration in droves. You’ve got Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Tulsi Gabbard, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, are all gone,” Hayes said, noting that those four were all replaced by men.

“Now you got Kimberly Guilfoyle and Katie Zacharia added to the list,” Hayes said.

The host added that “none of these people were suitable to run the federal government,” but said that was also true about men in the administration, citing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and FBI Director Kash Patel, who have remained in their positions

“Could you imagine Pete Hegseth getting tough questions from Hannity about his past tweets, much less the other allegations that have been leveled against him,” Hayes said, referring to Zacharia’s Thursday interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Hayes concluded the segment by saying Trump has “turned merit on its head” and replaced it with “affirmative actions for chuds and dunces.”
