Wow, for a ghoul who was potentially lurking around Salem, Massachusetts, in the late 17th century, you’d think Stephen Miller would be better at the whole witch hunt thing.

Over the weekend, the White House deputy chief of staff inadvertently fueled demands for transparency about President Donald Trump’s health while trying to fan the flames of a rumor about Democratic state Representative James Talarico.

In a nutshell, Talarico, who is running for a Senate seat in Texas, was recently absent from the campaign trail for nine days, citing the flu. On Sunday. MAGA influencer Nick Sortor, claimed this was “a BIG FAT LIE” and that Talarico had actually been treated for a mental health episode at a hospital in Ohio. Talarico’s Republican opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, also signed off on Sortor’s theory.

Talarico and the facility have since denied this claim — but not before Miller stuck his foot in his mouth Sunday.

“Talafreako needs to release the medical records (if they exist at all),” Miller tweeted on X Sunday.

Talafreako needs to release the medical records (if they exist at all)

Considering that Trump’s critics have long been concerned about the president’s cognitive and physical health — and the White House has been less-than forthcoming with the public over these matters — many X users couldn’t help but point out the irony in Miller’s demand.

How about Trump releases his medical records. He can barely walk or stay awake.

Let’s see Trump’s medical records……..the real ones

When trump releases his, and his tax returns, and his college transcripts, F-ckface!

This administration asking anyone else to release records is fucking hysterical.

Right after Trump releases his medical records for his boo boo in Butler.

Some critics on X also pointed out how the White House hasn’t been transparent about another Senate Republican’s clearly declining health.

You mean like McConnell did? Oh wait...

Hey Steve, Mitch McConnell, a sitting US senator went missing for 92 days and not a word to the American public. When he finally did appear, he looked like he was on another planet and had to be told how he was supposed to vote. James Talarico, a type 1 diabetic contracts the… https://t.co/gaZYGqmsy4

Other critics saw the word “release” and wondered about even more pressing documents the White House has refused to make public.

Release the Epstein files first

And you need to release the Epstein files. But you won’t, because you’re liars and apologists.

And finally, many critics simply expressed their exasperation with Miller, with one user summing up many others’ sentiments by simply sharing an image text:
