Hillary Clinton Reveals The Brutal Trump Remark She Whispered To Barack Obama In Viral Moment

Hillary Clinton has revealed what was said during that viral exchange with Barack Obama after Michelle Obama appeared to take a pointed jab at Donald Trump. During the June opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, former first lady Michelle Obama ran through the highlights of her husband former President Barack Obama’s time in office before lingering on one in particular: his winning the Nobel Peace Prize. The mention drew fierce applause from the crowd and laughter from Clinton. (Trump, of course, has not won the Nobel Peace Prize, despite his vocal wishes. Instead, he’s been given a secondhand medal and a FIFA version.) Clinton laughed at Michelle Obama’s remark before leaning forward to say something to Barack Obama. Clinton then revealed what she told Obama after he turned around toward her: “Barack turns around and he kind of grins at me. So I lean forward and said, ‘I really hope that Donald Trump is watching this, and I really hope he heard that line and I think he’s got to feel like he is in the Tenth Circle of Hell or something because of this litany of everything you’ve done.’” Obama, per Clinton, responded succinctly: “Yeah, me too. I hope so.” Hillary Clinton: When I was at the opening of the Obama library—Michelle Obama gave that speech about all of the things that her husband had done that the other guy has not, when she got to the Nobel peace prize, I just burst into laughter. She said she wrestled with whether to tell him to “back off, you creep,” which she worried would lead to her being portrayed as weak and unable to stay calm, or make a joke, but feared it wouldn’t come across as funny. “I had to figure out what were people going to see if they looked at me and that’s the kind of thing that women have to have in the back of our heads, how do I respond, what’s appropriate, do I show emotion or not,” she said. She then swiped at Trump and Republicans. “I do find it a little bit ironic to say the least that all of the lines going back in history about women being too emotional to do this, do that, I mean, look at these people, honestly.” Watch from the 30-minute mark here: By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
