Hot Mic Moment Between Aaron Rodgers And Coach Says It All

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy flung the f-word at each other on Thursday night ― and it wasn’t football. The tense exchange became a viral moment in the visiting Steelers’ 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns. During a first-quarter drive, a flustered Rodgers appeared to be waiting for a play to be chosen. “What the fuck! Call it!” a hot mic caught him yelling. McCarthy could be seen growling what looked like “fucking asshole” in return. Aaron Rodgers: "WHAT THE F*CK?! CALL IT!" Mike McCarthy: "F*cking a**hole."pic.twitter.com/KOSwfYBL2J The coach expressed regret for his potty mouth. “Communication sometimes is not the best choice of words, but everybody’s competing on the field,” McCarthy said in a clip of his postgame comments. “I think what’s said on the field, the way I grew up in this game, usually stays on the field. That’s not the case today. I understand that. But any negative communication on my part, I wish I wouldn’t use those words.” Rodgers said the crowd noise made it hard to communicate. “It was loud,” Rodgers said, per ESPN. “It was definitely a good crowd tonight. It was loud. So some of the calls, it was hard to hear for sure.” Rodgers, who has made news for trashing former girlfriends, apparently eating his boogers and lying about being vaccinated, previously won a Super Bowl title with the Green Bay Packers under McCarthy as his head coach.
