Jon Hamm is opening up about becoming a father for the first time at 55.

“The best thing I keep hearing is how much it changes you for the better, and I’m excited,” the “Mad Men” actor said during an appearance on the “Today” show on Wednesday.

News broke last month that Hamm and his wife, 38-year-old Anna Osceola, were welcoming their first child together.

“I’ve been around kids my whole life. I’ve been a teacher, my nieces and nephews and all that stuff. I’m excited to start our own family ― it’s thrilling. And terrifying,” Hamm said with a laugh.

Hamm and Osceola began dating back in 2020 after originally meeting during the 2015 series finale of “Mad Men.”

They got engaged in February 2023, and tied the knot in June of that year.

Prior to marrying Osceola, the actor was in an 18-year relationship with Jennifer Westfeldt. The two split in September 2015.

Hamm has spoken about the possibility of being an older parent before during a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s not lost on me that I’m 53,” he told the outlet. “I will be the old dad, but so it goes. It could be a good thing. We’ll see.”

If Hamm needs a partner-in-crime in parenting in your 50s, Jamie Foxx recently revealed that he is becoming a dad again at 58.

“I got a baby on the way ― still got it!” Foxx said while pumping his fist during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” this week.

“About to be back in the drop off line,” the actor said, “I wasn’t on the fence about it, but you know, being 58, you know what I’m saying?”

Foxx is expecting his third child with his 31-year-old girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp. The actor ahas two other children: Corinne Foxx, 32, and Anelise Bishop, 18.
