Entertainment bigwig Ari Emanuel got the inside scoop on President Donald Trump’s plans for 2028 straight from the source and said he’s confident there won’t be any constitutional hijinks when it’s time for Trump to pass the torch.

The agent-turned-executive enjoyed a feisty back-and-forth with MS NOW headliner Rachel Maddow during a private event for his new memoir, “Roll The Calls,” on Tuesday in New York.

During the chat, detailed in a day-after story from the Hollywood Reporter, he dismissed anxiety about Trump angling for a third term while also downplaying fears about the president’s impact on the country.

“I spoke to him three weeks ago. And in that conversation … He thought JD [Vance] and Marco Rubio would be a formidable group” for the 2028 Republican ticket, Emanuel reportedly revealed.

Painting panic around Trump’s White House tenure as overblown, he asked, “You don’t think people said at the time Nixon was the most dangerous president in all of U.S. history?”

The question drew skeptical murmurs from Maddow and the audience, prompting a smirking Emanuel to bite back, “Shut the fuck up, stop.”

When Maddow told the Hollywood hotshot she thought Trump was a “different kind of cat” and wasn’t convinced he would see himself out of the White House come 2028, Emanuel argued that the president’s comment about a Vance-Rubio run didn’t sound like something a “man trying to be in the White House forever” would say.

Prodding the power broker to tell it straight about his chummy ties to Trump and people like billionaire Elon Musk, Maddow wondered, “Is there anything about your relationships [with them] that has ever had a positive or mitigating effect on the harm they are doing to our country?”

“I want to live in a society. You have conversations [in a society],” Emanuel replied. “When I’ve disagreed with the president, with Elon Musk, with a lot of the people you’ve mentioned, I have, in my opinion, swayed them. That might not satisfy you. I’m sorry.”

Trump was once one of Emanuel’s clients, but the elite talent agent dropped him when he entered office in 2016. Recounting their business breakup in “Roll the Calls,” Emanuel wrote, “I tell him I’ve never dropped a client with such ease. And I tell him I didn’t vote for him.”
