Actor Amanda Seyfried announced Thursday to People that she and husband Thomas Sadoski have split, calling it “the right move for us.”

“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD,” the pair said in a statement to the outlet.

The two share a 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, E! noted.

Seyfried, “The Housemaid” and “Mean Girls” star, and Sadoski, of “Life in Pieces” TV fame, met in 2015 while doing an off-Broadway play. They later played love interests in a Shirley MacLaine-led movie called “The Last Word” and eloped in March 2017, according to People.

The family was living on an animal rescue farm the couple operated and the children attended a nearby school, Vogue reported in January.

The “Mamma Mia!” star told the magazine that her husband “sacrifices a lot for me.”

“He also knows that, in this moment, the opportunities I’m being afforded are insane,” she said. “I do say no a lot.”

She appeared to be without a wedding ring at a Toronto International Film Festival screening Sunday of her new movie “The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd.”
