Kelly Osbourne is shedding light on her relationship with her estranged older sister, Aimee Osbourne. The younger Osbourne spoke about their fractured dynamic on an episode of the “We Need To Talk” podcast, released on Tuesday. While Kelly Osbourne appeared on her family’s reality TV show, “The Osbournes,” Aimee Osbourne did not. The younger sibling said she “can’t tell the whole truth” about her sister not appearing on the show, as she didn’t “want to speak on behalf of her.” “We’re not close, but I do respect her enough to, you know, keep her anonymity, if you understand. I believe there’s a reason for everything. It just wasn’t meant to be for her,” Kelly Osbourne said. “If I’m honest, my older sister didn’t really ever acknowledge me and my brother. She was just in her own world doing her own thing,” she said. “I do, to a certain extent, if I’m honest, feel as though she was embarrassed of us.” “I’ll never really truly understand. It just felt that way. We’re very different,” she added, claiming that the two “couldn’t be more polar opposite” and are “like oil and water.” Kelly Osbourne also shared that one of the “hardest things of my life” is that she “never got a big sister.” “I had to learn how to do certain things that a big sister should have taught you on my own,” she said, adding that she has “resentment there.” “I’ll have that forever,” she added, making it clear that there was no chance of them reconciling. “If you’re not going to accept me for who I am and constantly be trying to change me, and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well ― I don’t want you in my life,” she said. Aimee Osbourne has previously spoken about why she didn’t want to appear on “The Osbournes” when she was just a teen. “I always really valued my privacy,” she said during an interview with New York’s Q1043 radio back in 2020. “And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn’t really line up with what I saw my future as,” she said at the time. “It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically,” she explained.
