Hannah Einbinder thinks Ed Sheeran is worthy of a roast — literally.

The “Hacks” star responded to the “Shape of You” singer taking zero accountability for rapper Macklemore getting kicked off Sheeran’s Loop tour earlier this week by sharing the kind of karmic payback she’d like to see him receive.

The “Thrift Shop” musician was removed as an opener after making pro-Palestine comments onstage.

“Ed Sheeran i say this as a ginger. i hope you get a REALLY bad sun burn the kind on the back of your entire body where it hurts to lie down or walk or sit,” Einbinder shared on her Instagram story on Tuesday.

The “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” star then posted a poem called “Apolitical Intellectuals” by Guatemalan activist Otto René Castillo. She also reshared posts from Sheeran’s supporting acts that dropped out of the Loop tour in solidarity with the “Can’t Hold Us” rapper and Palestine.

Einbinder has been a vocal advocate for Palestine. In 2025, during her acceptance speech for winning the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her work in “Hacks,” she famously said: “Go Birds, fuck ICE and free Palestine.”

Shortly after dropping that viral line in her acceptance speech, Einbinder expanded on her anti-Zionist Jewish identity in an interview with activist Simone Zimmerman, one of the founders of IfNotNow — a group of American Jews working to end the U.S.’ support for Israel apartheid.

In the interview, Einbinder says that the Oct. 7 attacks forced her to reexamine her previous Zionist beliefs.

“My Zionism was connected to a sense of denial, but it also…demanded that I keep a distance between myself and the very tangible, real world pain of Palestinians,” she said.

She went on to say that when she began to “peel back the layers of this ideology” and she began to see the conflict from other perspectives, “all of the pain that you rationalize and push down and deny comes up and you cannot unsee it.”
