Friend of the family passed away a while ago. She didn’t want a funeral. She left a list of people she loved that she wanted to go out for a nice meal together, on her. So that’s what we did today. Booked a room in a restaurant. We all told so many stories about her.

When I was growing up my local grocery store had a model train that ran back and forth on top of the freezers in the frozen aisle. My dentist had a train that ran around the ceiling, and so did our town's ice cream shop. I think little ceiling trains are a lost art

Good news! I just let the dog out & she barked. Now she doesn't bark for nothing, so I went to investigate. What should I find but an enormous hedgehog! I havent seen one in our garden for years and I'm so pleased to have them back.

my parents are officially moved in across the street. Yesterday afternoon I took their grandson over for an impromptu visit. My mom sat on the floor and played with him while my dad and I chatted in their new living room. One of the happiest moments of my life

Someone left a piano in an alley in the neighborhood and almost every single passerby I’ve seen at any time of day has stopped to play it and it’s so silly. It feels like living in a cartoon
