Conan O’Brien joked about having the same decorating style as President Donald Trump during a silly moment on his latest podcast.

While riffing about his beloved golden retriever on Monday’s episode of “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend,” the comic said he deals with his dog’s shedding habit by buying exclusively gold clothes.

Spotting an opportunity to roast the president and his famous fondness for shiny things, O’Brien said he’d even given his home the Midas touch with a metallic paint job and “all gold rugs.”

“It’s very Trumpy, but for different reasons,” O’Brien smirked, impersonating the president as he added, “Trump came by, and he was like, ‘This is pretty good.’”

“He drops in all the time,” the former late-night host added with a wink.

Though O’Brien is a veteran critic of the president, he once warned other comedians how going all in on Trump material might backfire.

“Some comics go the route of ‘I’m going to just say F Trump’ all the time,’” he said during an event hosted by Oxford Union in January. “And I think well now, a little bit, you’re being co-opted because you’re so angry.”

“It’s like a siren leading you into the rocks,” he explained. “You’ve been lulled into just saying ‘F Trump. F Trump. F Trump. Screw this guy.’ And I think you’ve now put down your best weapon, which is being funny, and you’ve exchanged it for anger.”
