Ken Jennings is coming clean.

The “Jeopardy!” host, who appeared as a contestant in a record-breaking 74 games during his winning streak, has admitted to fibbing a few of his stories on the show.

“I didn’t feel like I had a great story in game number three, much less game number 73. So a lot of my stories are — and I’ve confessed this before — not 100% true,” Jennings said in an interview with People magazine, published on Sunday.

“It’s just, you know, something that you and Alex Trebek can chat about for 25 seconds. Like, mission accomplished,” he added, before revealing some of his lies.

“So I told them that I liked airline food. That’s not really true. He asked me if I had any dark secrets, and I told him, ‘I killed a man down south once.’ Also, not true … We don’t fact-check. We’re not The New Yorker on ‘Jeopardy!’” Jennings shared, before explaining that “a good ‘Jeopardy!’ anecdote” is akin to a “Mad Lib.”

“Something like ... Even though you’re in your 30s, you own two tricycles, and they’re both orange,” he said. “On paper, that’s kind of a boring story. Somebody has two orange tricycles. But when you think about it on ‘Jeopardy!,’ that’s kind of the perfect thing.”

True to his, err, word, Jennings has admitted to lying on “Jeopardy!” before.

In a video shared on the official “Jeopardy!” Instagram page last year, Alex Trebek was speaking with Jennings during his run on the show about his “good luck charm” ― a stuffed plush called “Totoro,” from the anime film “My Neighbor Totoro.” In the clip, Jennings said he bought Totoro while in Asia.

“So that story is essentially a lie,” Jennings explains, adding that it was “something my sister-in-law had.”

“I was like, ‘Hey, I’m short on stories today ― Why don’t you let me have that, and I’ll pretend that I have a lucky Totoro?’”
