Nicolle Wallace Mocks Trump’s Outburst At MS NOW Colleague: ‘We Touched A Nerve…’

Nicolle Wallace on Monday chuckled that her MS NOW colleague Jake Traylor had “touched a nerve” after Donald Trump erupted at the reporter during an Oval Office appearance. “You’re fake news,” Trump snapped after Traylor asked whether he was “reconsidering” the role of interim U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro following the collapse of the vandalism case against former Olympian David Hearn over alleged damage to the National Mall’s Reflecting Pool. “Don’t ever talk to me again!” Trump continued. “You’re fake. You’re one of the worst in the business.” Trump had earlier attacked Traylor and MS NOW over other questions he had asked, fuming that “they have the worst people on that channel” and claiming its name was changed from MSNBC, not because of corporate restructuring, but “because nobody watched it.” After airing footage of the exchange, Wallace chuckled: “I think we touched a nerve there.” She then summed up what rankled Trump: “Traylor [was] pressing about the simple fact pattern from Donald Trump ... Trump’s buddy Jeanine Pirro dropping the charges of vandalism her office had filed against former Olympian David Hearn less than one month ago.” “While Pirro promised that her office would prove the charges of vandalizing the Reflecting Pool beyond a reasonable doubt, her office found that despite Trump’s claims that, quote, ‘I’m a really good builder,’ it was his shoddy contractors, not vandalism at all, responsible for the lining coming apart in pieces,” she added.
