"I was super excited as a fan who had supported them for more than 35 years. The whole meet and greet was pretty disappointing, with long lines, crowds, and being rushed through, though they were mostly nice and remembered the choir from that particular tour. They seemed excited talking about my hometown. That is, until I got to Joey.

When I explained what we were talking about—the tour all those years ago, my hometown, singing onstage, etc.—he looked me in the eyes and, without any sarcasm at all, said, "Well, whoop-dee-do for you," then kind of dismissed me. It took me until I was back at my seat to realize just how rude and deflating that comment was, and my friends couldn't believe what they had heard. Honestly, couldn't he have just smiled and nodded? Why say anything at all? It's not like I approached him on the street with a rambling story—I was participating in a meet and greet where I paid thousands of dollars to literally stand near him for two minutes.

It felt like he went out of his way to be rude.I will mention that the rest of the guys were really nice, but after that interaction and the over-monetization of every little thing, I likely won't go to another show. I was heartbroken for a while, but I'm over it now."

"I pulled over on the interstate and said that he might be mistaking me for some random Midwest fan, but I was close friends with one of his wife's best friends, and if he said another fucking word disrespecting me or my girlfriend, I'd drag his big ass out of my car, and he could spend the 15-mile walk to the airport thinking about how to explain his shitty behavior all weekend to his wife.

He mumbled a half-assed apology and offered me a pre-signed autographed picture of himself as Leatherface (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre) and his St. Vitus CD, which he had put in my car's CD player for the ride. When we dropped him off at the airport, I tossed both out the window and drove off. I was a fan before that weekend.  After that, well, I like his death scenes a little more."

"I was assigned to help direct the entourage from the helipad when it came in. We had an hour once he landed, and I could hear my company XO trying to get everything organized so everyone could meet him, shake his hand, and get an autograph.

Then one of the Navy higher-ups asked if he wanted to go for a ride on the lake in a SURC (Small Unit Riverine Craft), and he said sure. So all of a sudden, the XO got told to split everyone into groups of five, and they basically did an assembly line where Toby stood in the middle for one picture, then moved on to the next group. He didn't meet a single person, shake a hand, or sign anything.

He spent 30 minutes of his one-hour visit riding around on a fucking boat with field-grade officers, then left. While I was pissed at the Navy leadership for deciding to spend half his visit on a boat ride with maybe 10 service members while everyone else just went back to what they were doing, I was, and still am, far more livid at Toby Keith. That piece of shit made his millions with that stupid Boot in Your Ass song and profits from how much he supports the military, but when it came down to it, he decided to accept a boat ride instead of spending any time at all with the enlisted guys in the combat zone."

"The poor thing, in her 6-inch platforms, didn't stand a chance. I hopped up and helped her off the carpet, and the bodyguard paid her. They let him stay, which, of course, they did, I guess.

He bailed out about half an hour later when a threat came in that someone was headed that way to fight him, which I think was bullshit dramatics. He left so quickly he "forgot" to pay the current girl who was crazy enough to dance for him.Luckily, I was spared having any closer contact than the chair to his left with his very kind, very generous bodyguard.
