My anxiety about creating a confined space alleviated the moment I started reading the instructions. Attention to detail is A+++. The gate itself is extremely easy to set up and customize. It's metal, so no need to worry about chewing accidents. I needed one permanent gate with a door for the kitchen area and one flexible one to block the entrance while I'm out. Not only did I reach my goal, but I also ended up with one extra panel and used that to block the electric plugs and cables behind the TV. The door itself is also designed pretty smartly. Swing direction can be customized. It stays fully open if it's been pushed back, and it closes on its own otherwise. There are two notches at the bottom of the door that are useful when you don't want to fully lock the door but still want to close it. It's a well-thought-out, beautifully constructed product.
