President Donald Trump threatened retaliation against Iran by serving up profanity-laced red meat to viewers on “Fox & Friends” early Wednesday.

As cohosts watched, Fox News’ foreign correspondent Trey Yingst reported that Trump told Fox News, “We are going to beat the fucking shit out of them.”

Yingst, however, attempted a PG-rated translation:

“President Trump reacting to that Iranian attack on U.S. forces overnight in Jordan. President Trump tells Fox News about Iran: ‘We are going to beat the effing ‘s’ out of them.’ He went on to say, ‘We’ll be hitting them hard. They’re going to get a beating.’”

Yingst added, “He says U.S. forces had just minutes to shoot down these incoming Iranian ballistic missiles.”

All of the bombs were “successfully intercepted,” U.S. officials said, The Associated Press reported.

Trump has continually resorted to macho posturing and over-the-top threats in a war he started and can’t seem to find a way to end despite more than two-thirds of Americans wanting him to do so.

He has said “a whole civilization will die tonight” and threatened to bomb Iran “back to the stone ages.”

The Hill published an op-ed in April that read: “Unlike any of his predecessors, President Trump often threatens apocalypse now, or in a few hours, with attacks that, if carried out, would plainly constitute war crimes.”

On Wednesday, the United States launched airstrikes at Iran-backed military groups in Iraq as a brief pause in the fighting ended, Reuters reported.
