Meghan McCain told fellow conservatives they’ll have a “huge fucking problem” on their hands if Democrats embrace New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s messaging about the GOP’s failures.

The conservative podcaster, who is the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), offered a frank assessment of Mamdani on X Monday, admitting her fellow Republicans might not like what she had to say but would be wise to listen nonetheless.

After watching the mayor’s appearance on The New York Times’ podcast, “The Interview,” which was released Saturday, McCain said the Democratic socialist’s talking points about the right-wing were “absolutely brilliant,” especially for “a low-information voter who has no time to pay attention to the substance of his message.”

“The tone of what he is saying is brilliant,” she continued. “It is part folksy everyman, Republicans have abandoned the working class and are a bunch of elites without being harsh or conspiratorial. He has gotten very strong, very fast and is evolving in his national messaging to the rest of the country.”

McCain’s post then shifted to a stern warning for the GOP.

“If Democrats are smart they will nominate someone with his tenor and tone on economics and national policy (leaving out Israel and international politics which is a whole other ball of wax),” she said.

McCain also noted that such a charming, populist approach could spell disaster for conservatives’ chances at the 2028 presidency, calling it “a huge fucking problem we will not be able to podcast bro our way out of.”

Though politicos have dissected Democrats’ 2024 presidential election loss from almost every angle, there’s near-unanimous agreement that the left failed to craft a message that resonated with voters. Much has been made of how President Donald Trump and his allies turned to podcasts and streaming shows popular with young men to deliver their “anti-woke” message, winning over previously disengaged or apolitical voters.
