"It Might As Well Be Nail Clippings": People Are Sharing Their Most Hated Desserts, And I Think I Need To Get My Tastebuds Professionally Evaluated

“Anything with coconut makes me wrinkle my nose.” Hi, I'm Harrison, a quiz fellow at BuzzFeed (basically, I make a whole lot of quizzes). Harrison's two cents: The condemnation of all pies is absolute madness. I can appreciate calling out a pie or two, but you need to draw the line somewhere. Harrison's two cents: Bananas are like the Swiss Army knives of dessert. Overripe? Toss 'em in some nice banana bread. Underripe? Smoothie time. Irritating character in a 1900s slapstick comedy film? Banana cream pie to the face. Harrison's two cents: I'm kind of in agreement with this one. Cherries get way too much love nowadays. No, I don't want a cherry on top — thank you very much. Harrison's two cents: As someone who would live off chocolate cake if he could, I take great offense to this. Harrison's two cents: Candy corn is a little like the appendix: an archaic artifact that serves no purpose to the humans of today. Harrison's two cents: I love brownies, and I love nuts. But put nuts in my brownies? I'll never speak to you again. Harrison's two cents: Lemon bars are possibly the most underrated dessert in existence, and their inclusion in this list is a disgrace. Harrison's two cents: I'm entirely impartial to the pumpkin pie debate. Unrelated, but has anyone ever actually seen a pie cooling on a windowsill? Harrison's two cents: The first time I tried European chocolate, my entire outlook on life changed. It's that good. Our foreign friends are definitely onto something. Harrison's two cents: If you show me a chocolate fountain, I'd dunk my little brother before I'd dunk a strawberry. Harrison's two cents: We should check in on anyone who doesn't like chocolate and peanut butter, just to make sure they're doing okay. Harrison's two cents: Cheesecake is a high-risk, high-reward dessert. Sometimes I want a third slice, sometimes I want to hurl. You never know what you're going to get! Harrison's two cents: Meringue-based desserts look infinitely better than they taste. Harrison's two cents: I've honestly never tried flan. So, I'm going to judge it strictly by its name, which is pretty weak. It sounds way too much like phlegm for my liking. Harrison's two cents: One time when I was eight, I barfed at a birthday party after gorging myself on an inhuman amount of ice cream cake. And honestly, I'd do it again. Harrison's two cents: Honestly, I've never had tiramisu either (apparently I'm pretty uncultured). So, I'm gonna give it the same treatment as flan. Tiramisu: 9.7/10, really rolls off the tongue. Harrison's two cents: I think I covered everything above. Note: Some responses have been edited for length and/or clarity.
