Business owners can earn Capital One miles to use on future travel with the new Capital One Venture Business card. As a new Venture Business cardholder, you’ll also get a massive limited-time welcome offer worth up to 150,000 bonus miles.

The Venture Business card is replacing the Capital One Spark Miles for Business, and it has a similar rewards structure and annual fee. But you’ll also get some added benefits that can help you save money on business expenses each year.

Here’s what to know about the new Venture Business card — and how to take advantage of the limited-time bonus.

The Venture Business welcome offer is two-fold: First, you’ll earn 75,000 bonus miles after spending $7,500 within the first three months of account opening. You can then earn an additional 75,000 miles after you spend a total of $30,000 in the first six months.

That’s 150,000 bonus miles altogether.

But don’t forget the rewards you’ll earn while working toward that bonus, too. At 2x miles per dollar, the $30,000 required to earn the full bonus within six months will net you another 60,000. Combined with the 150,000, that means you could earn 210,000 miles in the first six months.

If you redeem your rewards for travel at a value of 1 cent per mile, that’s worth $2,100 in rewards value. Even without accounting for the miles you’ll earn on spending, the limited-time bonus alone is worth $1,500 toward future travel.

The Capital One Venture Business, like the consumer Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, is a solid travel card with simple rewards that can help you maximize every purchase toward future travel savings.

Though the Venture Business does have an annual fee, it’s pretty affordable compared to many other business cards today. It’s also relatively easy to offset with regular business spending. At the standard 2x rewards rate, you can earn $95 in rewards value after spending $4,750 annually.

With many other 2x rewards or 2% cash back business cards available today, you’ll generally find much higher annual fees for unlimited annual rewards or spending caps that limit how much you can earn each year at that rewards rate.

What also sets this card apart from other business cards with flat 2x rewards is the added benefits you’ll get:

$50 annual travel credit for Capital One Business Travel bookings

$50 annual statement credit for purchases with qualifying advertising or software merchants

Up to a $120 credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry every four years

If you use just the two $50 annual credits each year, you can easily offset this card’s $95 annual fee — before even accounting for rewards value on your spending.

Finally, the limited-time welcome bonus for the Capital One Venture Business skyrockets its value for first-year cardholders even higher. If the total $30,000 spent within the first six months is within your business budget, you won’t find many cards today with greater bonus rewards.

If that amount is beyond your regular budget, don’t spend more than you can afford just to earn a bonus. Consider applying for the card when you have a large business purchase to make, or when you’re planning to spend more anyway. Otherwise, even the boosted bonus amount won’t be worth taking on high-interest debt.
