As the search for Nancy Guthrie enters its 48th day, investigators have revealed they are looking into reports of suspicious activity around the neighborhood of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie's mother.

Speaking with Fox News Digital on Friday, a spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff's Department was asked about recent reports of suspicious activity at a recently vacant home in Guthrie's neighborhood.

While the spokesperson declined to confirm whether a specific person or people were being investigated, they did share that "investigators are looking into reports of anything suspicious in that area."

On Wednesday, authorities shared what they had found in new security footage taken near the 84-year-old's home. Two sources familiar with the matter told NBC News correspondent Liz Kreutz that the latest footage does not show new suspicious activity nor does it reveal anything from the day of Nancy's disappearance.

Earlier this week, the FBI recovered images from the motion-activated security cameras around the 84-year-old's home in Catalina Foothills, Ariz. The pictures came from the cameras near her swimming pool, backyard, and side yard, showing people in the yard prior to the abduction and police officers afterwards. There was nothing from the day that Guthrie was taken and the FBI was unable to retrieve video.

With the search for Nancy now having gone on for well over a month, neighbors have voiced concerns over the seemingly stalled investigation into the suspected abduction.

"I have not had the police come to speak with me again. I have not seen or heard of investigators at any neighboring properties in a few weeks now," a neighbor who asked to remain anonymous told Us Weekly in a report published Tuesday. "I really don't know what else they are doing."

Nancy was last seen on Jan. 31 and reported missing the following morning after she did not appear at church. Law enforcement found blood on her porch, which they said was "very concerning." The FBI later released images of a potential suspect, which showed a masked and gloved individual at Nancy's front door on the night of her disappearance.

As the Guthrie family anxiously awaits Nancy's return, they have increased the reward money to $1 million, while also acknowledging that she "may already be gone."

"She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce and with our daddy," Savannah said in a video on Feb. 24. "If this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is. We need her to come home."
