There are plenty of great matchups today, but one worth playing takes place early in the day as the 49ers take on the Falcons. The best team in the NFL heads to Atlanta, looking to remain perfect. On the other side, the Falcons are looking to try and get closer to .500 after having a very different season. The San Francisco 49ers are 6-0 with one of the best offenses and defenses in football. It doesn’t look like they will slow down any time soon. Brock Purdy is playing like an MVP. George Kittle has been elite and looks like he is turning back the clock. Christian McCaffrey already has seven touchdowns on the ground and continues to chew up yardage as one of the most versatile backs in the league. Most of all, the team seems to be healthy, which is not something they could say in previous years. The Atlanta Falcons enter the game with a 2-4 record and inconsistent quarterback play at best. In their defense, Cooper Rush has been the starter a couple of times, and he didn’t play very well, so that put the Falcons behind the 8-ball, so to speak. Michael Penix Jr. has been good, for the most part, but last game he struggled to figure out the Bears' defense. Eventually, the team got there, but it was too little, too late for the Falcons. They dropped their second straight game and are now on the verge of losing three straight and really hindering their playoff chances. Can the 49ers stay perfect for the season, or will the Falcons throw a wrench into their plans? Can Penix Jr. figure out one of the better defenses in the league, or will San Francisco stop the inconsistent Falcons?
