One of the most fun things to watch in the league is when rookies take the stage for the first time. Will nerves get the best of them? Will one set a debut record? Will they get good action, or will they be cautiously given minutes? Let’s take a look at the top three picks taking the stage tonight and who they are playing.

Dybantsa was the #1 overall pick, but unfortunately, he will not make his debut tonight because of an ankle injury sustained in the preseason.

Darryn Peterson was the second overall pick in the NBA Draft, and the Jazz are looking to him as the future of their franchise. Sure, they have Lauri Markkanen, but Peterson could be the piece that ends their rebuild. Peterson comes with questions about drive, but his potential and abilities are not questionable.

Cameron Boozer was one of the best players in college last season, but his Blue Devils team fell just short of a championship. Now he comes to a Memphis team that is once again looking to rebuild. They shipped out Ja Morant to Portland, and Jarren Jackson Jr. is donning a Jazz uniform now. Will Boozer be the franchise, or will he be just another piece? The jury is out on this one, and it should be interesting to see how it ends up.

Take advantage of Betr’s new user offer of $200 in bonuses and four sweat-free picks for the NBA Wednesday schedule.
