One fan is asking, “Wait, how did he get MORE Indian?”

As a freelance writer for Buzzfeed, I write about all things pop culture, nerdy, bookish, and more!

Azaria also voices Moe, Lenny, Fat Tony, Disco Stu, and quite literally hundreds of other characters on the series.

"After 22 years of friendship, I know Sunil is the perfect person to bring Apu home," explained Gavankar.

Arguably the best of the voice actor recasting they have done over the run of the show. https://t.co/P48jj4dWOG

I honestly believe this is a sign that things will turn around for Indian People.Things started to shift for the worse for Indian people when Hank Azaeria stopped voicing Apu in 2020.Now that Apu is back, things will return to normalcy. In my heart I believe this. https://t.co/LnWcIWhznU

Wait, how did he get MORE Indian? The King of the Hill Khan recast made sense because it’s a post timeskip and obviously a Laotian guy is going to sound less Laotian and more American after he’s been living there for decades.Apu sounding like this makes no sense. https://t.co/SHW8VKuDuI

Wait fr, why is apu TB3 and why is he dressed like a monk and why does he have Darth Vader’s voice https://t.co/L8D2QdsWk7
