Melania Dodges Trump’s Kiss In Front Of Cameras And Things Just Get More Awkward From There
Images
President Donald Trump on Monday got dragged by observers for an awkward kiss with Melania Trump and a dismissive remark about her signature on an executive order. The president moved in to seal the deal with a kiss, but the first lady appeared to turn far to the side for an upper-head peck instead. Melania Trump turns her head far to the side as Trump moves in for a kiss 😳 pic.twitter.com/A4oBiUZvo5 Donald Trump’s paternal “there, there now, dear”-style pat on her hand followed, as did the jokes and body language analysis. Look at the body language. Melanoma immediately shifts her entire body the opposite way after Trump makes his move. We’ve seen this movie before pic.twitter.com/2uTKnyqXUL So much love... Public affection between the two has been scarce. They live in separate bedrooms when she is at the White House. And tidbits the president has revealed about their relationship don’t exactly scream intimacy. He has said he likes to call her “first lady” and indicated recently that she has called him “sir.” Donald Trump ― who has been called out previously for defying his wife’s requests to stop certain stage antics while he goads the crowd to help him “bully” her ― might have gone a step further in the Rose Garden. The two teamed up on the executive order to establish a task force and a National Institutes of Health division for women. So when it came time for the first lady to scribble her John Hancock on the document, Donald Trump said to laughs from the gallery, “I don’t know if her signature means anything.” Melania Trump replied as she signed, “Yours is the most important.” Trump signs an EO, then hands a pen to Melania but says, "I don't know if her signature means anything" pic.twitter.com/VMf9rS4ogb The “misogynistic” president got notes on that moment as well. I’ll bet it means something on the prenup. As she's thinking to herself: I wish the one on our marriage certificate didn't mean anything Another meaningless Executive Order that was just done to try and get some women votes for the midterms. Real Presidents sign bills into law; not these dime a dozen Executive Orders that are just for show.
