Any week we get where there are multiple ranked teams playing is a good week. This Saturday, we get six ranked matchups to enjoy. There aren’t always this many great matchups, so soak up everything you can. 

The first matchup worth focusing on is between Ohio State and Indiana. This Big Ten battle is between the two best teams in the conference, and arguably a preview of what we will see in the Big Ten Championship Game. Last season saw the Hoosiers win the game, hosting and beating Ohio State. 

As you’d expect from two top-five teams, they have very few holes and weaknesses, especially on offense. The two quarterbacks in this game have combined for 34 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Jeremiah Smith has hauled in 48 passes for 916 yards and 11 touchdowns for Ohio State and is a Heisman candidate. On the other side, Charlie Becker has caught 30 passes for 529 yards and eight touchdowns. 

This isn’t the only great battle that you should focus on. If you’re an SEC fan, you’ll love the battle between Alabama and Tennessee. The Crimson Tide are sixth in the nation and are 5-1, coming off a loss to Georgia last week. Alabama didn’t even fall in the rankings, and it was mostly because they played so well against the Bulldogs. 

Tennessee, on the other hand, is 14th in the nation, and their lone loss also came against one of the best in the nation. Texas went into their stadium and beat them 20-17. The Volunteers are still ranked the same as they were after that game as well. In the past two weeks, they beat Auburn and Arkansas. This should be a tough battle for each team. Alabama needs a rebound, and Tennessee needs a statement win.
