Pope Leo leaves hospital after lung cancer surgery

Pope Leo left Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on Saturday after successful lung cancer surgery. The pontiff walked unaided and greeted well-wishers. He is expected to lead Sunday’s prayers in St Peter’s Square, while doctors await further results to determine whether the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes.
