The White House says Katie Zacharia is "transitioning out" of the role of press secretary just days after taking the job. It comes after US President Donald Trump said on Friday he suggested to Zacharia she should "reconsider" the job.

Trump went on to say that Zacharia has been treated "very, very badly" by the media in recent days.
