Read More Sometimes it feels like you’re stuck in a cycling of cleaning the bathroom all the time, over and over again. As a Deputy Editorial Director for BuzzFeed’s shopping team, I love to get into the weeds of why a product’s worth the money by deep diving into customer reviews, and product-testing as much as possible. Maintaining a job, social life, and a somewhat clean home can feel a bit overwhelming at times. This story won't help you with the first two, but BOY did I find some stuff to help you with the last one! Whether you're just trying to meal prep or your shower surround seems to get icky and scummy quite fast, I'm here to help. Promising review: "This product, my drill, and the flat sponge type cleaning pad were the only thing that worked transforming this very dirty tub into cleaner than clean. Very little muscle power necessary. A little goes a long way. It takes off the worst of things and leaves a kind of ceramic coat behind. It’s amazing." —Glinda Promising review: "The water recently changed in our areas, and I noticed this awful blue staining. I had used this back in August and let it sit overnight, and it worked wonders! It worked so well, I purposely let my shower get gross again to take a picture to share with others. I work a demanding schedule and do not have time for deep cleaning ALL the time. This works wonders without scrubbing and no horrific fumes. I bought it for my almost 70-year-old Mom, too. She was so sick of scrubbing. Now she uses it bi-weekly! Highly recommend!" —Amelia Hope's is a small business based in Missouri that makes cleaning supplies. My colleague Maitland Quitmeyer has this and LOVES it: "I bought this for my white porcelain kitchen sink and I've since texted five people about it, which is really a lot for such a boring grown-up product. It cleans beautifully, but the *best* thing about it is its ability to repel stains after cleaning. You know that thing when you rinse out your coffee cup and the coffee water just lingers in your sink and you have to purposefully rinse it out for two minutes? You don't have to do that — the coffee can't stick to the sink and just goes RIGHT down the drain. Time saved, sink clean — this is really a Virgo dream product right here." Promising review: "This stuff is amazing! 10 year old sink looks brand new! Plus water beads right off, sweet stuff for a clean freak!" —Jenny Lynn Get it from Amazon for $9.95+ (available in two sizes). Promising review: "I love this product. I have one that is similar for jewelry. I use this in my main bathroom for deodorant shampoo, hair brushes, toothpaste, perfumes, hand towels, rolled up my counter, nice, and clean and clear." —Cynthia McLeod Get it from Amazon for $13.97 (available in two sizes and four colors). Check out a TikTok of the Dawn Powerwash Spray to see it in action! I live in an apartment without a dishwasher, and I honestly use that as an excuse to order takeout food instead of cooking. But, as soon as I got my hands on a bottle of this stuff (regular Dawn is my go-to dish soap, BTW), I put it to use on both a saucepan I used to make homemade enchilada sauce *and* the casserole dish I baked those enchiladas, which had a ton of caked-on food. It really does work like I say it does! Like, scary well. Get the starter pack from Amazon for $17.50. Promising review: "Absolutely works as described. Removes the gunk, discoloration, and crud from the bottom of pots easily. Wet the sponge with water, start scrubbing and watch the magic begin in seconds. Minimal elbow grease needed." —Marty Marion Promising review: "This is quite possibly the coolest, most versatile kitchen gadget I’ve ever owned. I love it so much that I’ve purchased two more for friends and relatives. What can it do? I think the real question is 'What can’t it do?' I truly believe you could replace every cooking appliance (including your oven and stove top) and do EVERYTHING in the Instant Pot. I purchased two sizes for my own use: the 3-quart (which is my almost-every-day workhorse for two person dishes) and the 8-quart (which I bring out to handle my dinner party dishes). Everything I’ve tried has been fabulous. In the realm of kitchen appliances, there is no better investment than the Instant Pot. Highly recommended!!!" —Stereoman Get it from Amazon for $89.99+ (available in three sizes). Promising review: "I used to have messy baskets of hangers or a bunch of empty hangers on the rack. Now all my hangers are nice and neat and easy for laundry day." —Susan Burnside Promising review: "I bought this to wash baby bottles and pump supplies. Good build and does not feel cheap. I like that it is collapsible for storage and it has a drain on the bottom which makes it super convenient to drain after a soak. I can fit a lot in the tub for soaking." —Lacey D. Promising review: "The Boon Countertop Lawn has been an unexpectedly versatile and adorable addition to my kitchen! While marketed for baby items, I quickly found it incredibly useful (and cute!) for so much more. It's perfect for drying small glasses, reusable straws, bottle parts (yes, still!), and even delicate utensils. The design is genius: the 'blades of grass' hold items up just enough so they actually dry properly, unlike flat mats where water can just sit. No more puddles or damp spots! It's easy to clean, adds a playful touch to the counter, and truly excels at airing out those tricky-to-dry items. Highly recommend it for any small, air-drying needs!" —Amanda S. My colleague and new mom Emma Lord is obsessed: "I lived in a tiny NYC apartment when my son was born, so making space on the counter for this was a gamble, but oh my STARS, I would have been lost without it. As a first-time, very anxious solo mom who was deeply overwhelmed by the number of bottles my VERY HUNGRY late-term preemie went through, I was both on high alert about everything being perfectly sterilized and also the amount of upkeep bottles took. This bottle washer made everything a breeze. As soon as I hit four bottles, I just filled up the reservoir tank, plopped the bottles in with one of the detergent tablets, and watched all the bottles magically get taken care of in an hour without the hullabaloo of running the dishwasher or boiling water on the stove. I adore mine so much that I put stickers all over it to express my undying gratitude. (You can see in the photos I also decorated the Baby Brezza — my version isn't on sale, but the Baby Brezza Formula Pro is 20% off, and having a Brezza if you're formula feeding at all is also worth its weight in gold!)" Get it from Amazon for $299.99 (available in two shades). This is also a great way to sterilize pacifiers and small toys! Promising review: "I love this bag! I don’t have a dishwasher, and when it came to sterilizing my baby's bottles, I was dreading it. My girl had a NICU start, and there they used these plastic sterilizer microwave bags. I came to Amazon to look them up, but the ones the hospital used were only good for 14 washes. That’s when I found this guy. It’s silicone, so you can keep using it. It definitely gives peace of mind and ease of use." —Victoria These work on almost any surface: leather, fabric, furniture, hardwood, pans, metal, WHEREVER. And! They'll clean up grease, oil, tar, dirt, ink, lipstick, nail polish, food, and a whole lot more. Promising review: "I know this sounds cliché, but I literally never write reviews. And here I am. I did it. Why did I do it? Because this product is absolutely unbelievably unreal. It’s not just your run-of-the-mill Clorox cleaning wipes; there’s something in this product that actually legitimately works. I have dogs who pee and poop in the house sometimes, and I use this product to clean their messes. And it is miraculous. No stains, no smell, nothing. I’ve used it on the inside of my car and removed marks that have been on there for years. It almost works like an eraser. And it works on fabric. wood, rugs, glass. I buy three or four tubs at a time, because I don’t want to run out. I’m a clean freak, and have OCD (for real), and this is my go-to wipe for pretty much everything. And they’re really not that expensive. Kudos to the Inventors of this!!!" —Jim Get a pack of 90 from Amazon for $14.98 (available in nine sizes/packs). They can be used wet or dry and on basically every type of flooring and even drywall if you're so inclined. Since they can be thrown in the wash, one microfiber pad can replace up to 100 single-use pads. These are from a small biz! Promising review: I bought these for my friends when I house-sat. I picked up GIANT-sized bunny monster balls!! She usually uses the throw-away Swiffer wipes, which I told her were a waste and not very effective at actually picking up dust. So I showed her what these mop heads picked up, right after she 'dusted' with the Swiffer. Giant fur balls of dust!!!! These need to be in every household with hardwood or hard surface floors. Seriously, I'm a clean freak and do a 'white glove' test in my own household. The cling picks up everything...and not wasting any more money on disposable dusters is a bonus. I just wash them in cool water, but then don't throw them in the dryer, unless I forget it was in the load of laundry. I find they stay softer, and more durable longer, if I don't dry them in the dryer. I'll buy more for my mom's house!" —Maria_O Get a set of two from Amazon for $13.75. Promising review: "From messy to tidy! Overall happy with the result. Easy to assemble, but I recommend assembling in the spot where it is going. I put it together outside, and once assembled, it wouldn’t go in. I wish it was deeper, or just short of counter space. It leaves quite a bit of unused space behind that becomes hard to reach with the rack in front. But overall happy with the purchase and results. Also, don’t try extending to its max (30”), or it will sag in the middle. Max 25” is the sweet spot to keep it sturdy." —Jennifer Mowry Get it from Amazon for $24.87 (available in two finishes). Check out a TikTok of the Command spray bottle hangers in action. Promising review: "Love these! They have helped organize all my products underneath my kitchen sink. The Command hooks are strong and nothing has budged even with the weight of the spray bottles! Highly recommend." —Talayfor87 Get a set of two from Amazon for $7.69. BuzzFeed Shopping editor Jenae Sitzes says: "I've used Ecotools brush cleaning shampoo for years, and it makes cleaning my brushes so much easier. I just add a bit of the shampoo to my brush and gently rub it against a silicone mat under running water, and it makes quick work of removing all the makeup that's built up on my brush for, frankly, way too long. You'll see the water start running brown immediately, which is always super gross but also really satisfying, and once you see your brush return to its original color, you know you're done. And the bristles are always left as soft as before too!" Promising review: "I'm not very good at makeup, but am practicing. I'm also a clean freak so I was able to use just a tiny bit of this cleaner and my brushes come out clean as new." —William M. Buttlicker Promising review: "These are exactly like the Scrub Daddy's. Only hella cheaper." —kr425 "Perfect for all my fellow clean freaks." —Soledad Martinez Get it from Amazon for $8.49 (available in five color packs). The plant-based, lavender-scented cleaner comes with a microfiber cloth for you to use on your appliances, and reviewers say you only have to use a little bit of the cleaner to clean your entire fridge or oven, which means one bottle will last you a really long time. Promising review: "This stuff works great... and that’s coming from a clean freak. This cleaner/polish works awesome on stainless steel and any other material that the appliance is made of. It comes with a high-quality microfiber cloth, and it smells good. A little goes a long way, so it lasts through daily use." —RMK Get the set of cleanser and polish from Amazon for $19.95+ (also available in a larger size and two-pack). Promising review: "I'm a clean freak with hard water, and this stuff took off the build-up like magic. I would recommend using a slightly damp scratch pad. It takes a little elbow grease, but I have tried a ton of products, and this one is the only one that worked!" —Lori Promising review: "I have a golden retriever and the shedding is out of control. My fabric sofa is constantly covered in hair and I finally decided to try this after reading an article about popular TikTok products. The reviews do not lie, this thing works magic!! I wish I had taken a before and after picture because the difference is noticeable. I watched the video tutorial before I tried it to ensure I was using it properly and everything he says is true, you do really have to put your arm to work with vigorous back and forth movement! However, I find it's a great arm workout and it works wonders." —Joanne Ertel Get it from Amazon for $24.99+ (available in four colors). Check out a TikTok of the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaning stamp to see it in action! Promising review: "So surprised and pleased with how well this works! We are in a rental, and the bathrooms have no windows and no ventilation. Mold grows insanely fast. Pop one of these on the bowl as needed and no more mold, at all. Amazing!" —S The kit comes with 60 gel stamps and 5 different stamp designs. Each stamp can be flushed about 150 times. Promising review: "I love the look of these and the smell. They were easy to apply to the toilet and lasted a long time. The box came with so many that I don’t need to buy more for a long time. 10/10 a bathroom must-have." —Jon Mark It works on wood, tile, fiberglass, showers, floors, counters, and grout! RMR Brands is a small business specializing in professional grade cleaning solutions for your home. Promising review: "I bought this RMR spray with low expectations, even with the good reviews. I sprayed a small patch in the evening and let it sit overnight. The next morning, the grout where I had sprayed was as white as if it were brand new. I decided to spray the entire wall and part of the roof. The next day everything I sprayed had no visible mold. By the third night, I was pretty much spraying everything left in the shower. This stuff is amazing." —John Werner Get a 32-oz bottle on Amazon for $8.27+ (available in four sizes and multiple quantities). Promising review: "Okay, so these cleaner pods are awesome! I didn't know how gross our Keurig was until today. The big mason jar on the left is when I actually ran the cleaner through, plus one rinse cycle. The middle one is another rinse cycle, and the last one, on the right, is the last one I did. So yes, I would suggest running two or three rinse cycles instead of the recommended one. But it's still an awesome product for the price! I have a Keurig 2.0, and I had no issues." —Mads0421 Get a pack of six from Amazon for $9.99. Click & Carry is a Shark Tank and QVC-featured small business that specializes in easy carry accessories. Promising review: "TikTok made me buy it. This is great when you have a few bags and a box — for example, if you balance the bags, you can throw it over your shoulder and walk inside and have two free hands to carry the box, which is great. Product seems well built, and is comfortable on your shoulder or hand because of the padding." —Hung Get it from Amazon for $13.99 (available in seven colors). Wad-Free is a small biz that was launched during the pandemic. Cyndi, the founder, learned CAD (computer-aided design) to create the pads. And 5% of profits are donated to the American Brain Tumor Association. Promising review: "Perfect for high-thread-count sheets. Saw on Shark Tank and gave it a try. They really work on my very smooth, high thread count sheets. These used to get tangled up in the washing machine. Always had to throw in some towels to keep them from twisting and wadding. With these clips, it's no longer a problem. Clever!" —Amazon Customer Get a two-pack from Amazon for $19.99 (also available in a pack of four). Promising review: "I got this because my mother has dementia and she kept putting away dirty dishes. 🤦🏽♀️ And believe it or not, she has actually been using it and it definitely has been working! So I highly suggest buying this for parents or someone you know who has a similar problem!" —Raquel "Exactly as described, adhesive is good quality, and now my household knows when the dishes are clean. 10/10 would buy again." —Naes181 Get it from Amazon for $6.92 (also available in black). Promising review: "We moved into our house a year ago and I’ve been on a quest to clean the grout next to the stove ever since then. As a last resort I got this and holy cow! I left it on for three minutes as a spot test at first and I could already see a huge difference. I then did two more rounds letting it sit for five minutes each. The scent's not bad, it was fine if I had the window open, it was just being down close to it that got me. Seriously, stop looking and buy this." —Britney Phillips It's super quick to install, and one cartridge can last up to three months! Promising review: "I have hard water, and the constant ring in the toilet was super aggravating. This little thing took all of 30 seconds to install, and has kept my bowl ring-free for over a month now. I LOVE it. I can smell the bleach a tiny bit when the toilet is flushed, but that's not a bad thing; I kinda like that, as I know it's working. Also, excellent design that delivers on its promises. Please run and check out one of these for every toilet in your house." —AmazonShopper Promising review: "For six years I have tried to remove stains from my toilet. I used bleach, pumice stones, CLR, vinegar, baking soda. This has done the job with zero scrubbing on my part. I am so happy with this product. I put it in my toilet bowl overnight as well as the tank and the stains are going away." —Amazon Customer Check out a TikTok of the foaming pink drain cleaner in action. One reviewer said it cleaned five sinks with one bottle! Promising review: "Wow! I don't think I've ever been more excited to use a cleaning product before. Who knew you could get so much satisfaction from a drain cleaner. I could probably make an ASMR video and post it, as it is that satisfying! Even though I had to angle this over my sink drain, to avoid the low faucet, it worked perfectly. The foam went down the drain and up through the overflow, bringing lots of black, yucky gunk with it. I have used lots of drain cleaners before, but not one that actually came up through the overflow. I'd never even considered what stuff was in there. It did a great job of cleaning everything out and it left the sink smelling fresh and clean as well." —Amazon Customer Promising reviews: "Clean freak–approved. These tablets give me peace of mind that my undishwasher-safe bottles and such are actually clean. I'm the person who washes my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, so having this second step of a cleaning process for the things that can't go in really makes me feel better." —Ally Get a box of 12 tablets from Amazon for $7.99. Promising review: "Cleaned three items in less than five minutes. Vacuum brush head and two hair brushes that have three girls' long hair. I can’t wait to get the whole vacuum and rug cleaner bristles cleaned. I had to write this review after testing it out. Design is strong, sturdy, and handles great. Highly recommended." —Rob Promising review: "So I actually tested these bags because I’m a skeptic by nature. I took three organic bananas:• one in a Debbie Meyer bag• one in a 24/7 Fresh Pack• and one left completely unbaggedAfter 6 days, the difference was obvious:• The unbagged banana was brown and soft.• The Debbie Meyer one was slightly better but still spotty and mushy.• The 24/7 Fresh Pack banana looked the best — firm, yellow, and way fresher.I’ve repeated this with berries, greens, potatoes, avocados… same story every time. These bags are simply better quality and actually WORK. Highly recommend if you’re tired of throwing money away on spoiled produce. Plus, they are much sturdier than any other bags I tried and reusable." —Anastasia Talan Promising review: "This is the perfect trash bag, it's just the right size, the handle slips over the gearshift and hangs to the passenger side so it's not in the way. The material is sturdy and it holds a lot. Easy to dump and rehang! Looks neat in my black car, almost unnoticeable, which is perfect for a trash bag! lol Would definitely recommend, I have one in each car!" —V. K. Bareford It has automated self-emptying, self-washing roller mops, self-refilling, hot air drying, and more. Promising review: "Very easy to use and set up, I like the auto detergent feature. It's missing features from other flagships, like being able to access the camera, being able to run mop-only jobs, or vacuum-then-mop jobs, which I would really like to see added in the future. I have a very pet hair-friendly home, and it's had no issue keeping up with that. No clogs to speak of so far. I did have some dog fluff get tangled in the extendable brush arm, but it was easy enough to remove. Obstacle avoidance is okay; it sees larger objects and avoids them. It pulled the cable out of my electric couch, which was probably hard to see as it was black against a dark floor; other cables it avoided well. It's navigated under chairs and tables, which was a pain point on previous vacs, that was really good to see. It got stuck on a coat rack leg, which was odd but again not a big deal. Overall, I'm very happy with its performance, no hair tangles on the brush roller, and it uses mopping water efficiently. Areas of improvement will likely come in later revisions, such as better cameras/obstacle avoidance, more mopping pressure, etc. Overall, I'm very pleased with it and think it's one of the best options for your money in the sub $1000 price point." —Zero3 BuzzFeed Shopping is service journalism first: our writers and editors spend all day shopping so you don’t have to, vetting products, fact-checking brand claims, and surfacing what actually helps in real life.
