Jesse Watters Scrambles To Prove Democrats Have 'Lost All Cultural Momentum'

Fox News host Jesse Watters seemed desperate for material on Monday night as he cherrypicked a random assortment of headlines to try to prove Democrats have “lost all cultural momentum” ahead of next month’s midterms. Appearing to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks during a slapdash segment on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” the cable news headliner moaned about the backlash comedian Shane Gillis was getting for saying that women dress like “whores” at the gym during his “Saturday Night Live” monologue this weekend. “OK, really? You can’t joke about checking somebody out at the gym?” Watters scoffed. “I thought they quit whining about that stuff now.” “Democrats never really dropped woke, did they?” he went on. “They just hid it for the midterms, but now it’s spilling out.” MUST WATCH: SHANE GILLIS HOSTED SNL AND LIBERALS ARE LOSING THEIR MINDS 😂His crime? A joke about the shorts women wear to the gym 🩳Meanwhile Harry Styles stopped his Madison Square Garden show to honor an ILLEGAL with a RAP SHEET🤦Democrats never dropped woke. They just… pic.twitter.com/8CQot4toWc His damning examples included a clip of singer Harry Styles telling people to be kind to one another after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot a man in New York City last week and some cringeworthy excerpts of left-wing streamer and ever-constant conservative obsession Hasan Piker bumbling through an interview with satirical “gotcha” comic Ziwe Fumudoh. “Democrats aren’t sending their best, lost all cultural momentum — comedy movies, TV, music, it’s all swinging back to normal,” Watters declared. “People are fed up with the BS and they don’t want to be lectured.” But Watters made it seem like his fellow rich, male celebrities may be the only ones with the same issue as he rolled video of Metallica lead singer James Hetfield knocking other entertainers who want to “influence you with their bullshit” and a clip of comedian Jerry Seinfeld ham-handedly telling off a pro-Palestinian protester calling him racist. The Fox News mainstay seemed to be scraping the bottom of the barrel for culture war fodder as Republicans confront iffy prospects during next month’s midterm elections. Colored by high prices, opposition to the war in Iran and President Donald Trump’s historically low approval ratings, Republicans are predicted to lose their narrow majority in the House of Representatives while the fate of the Senate remains a toss-up.
