'Enjoy Prison': Kimberly Guilfoyle's Resignation Post Gets Chilly Reception

Kimberly Guilfoyle fired off a tweet after she resigned as U.S. ambassador to Greece on Tuesday amid controversy, but if the purpose was to gain sympathy or reset the narrative, she probably was out of luck. A recent Wall Street Journal article accused the former Fox News commentator and former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr. of attempting to get a Donald Trump donor to pay off a $100,000 debt to American Express ahead of her 2025 Senate confirmation hearing for the ambassadorship. Guilfoyle posted a lengthy message on X announcing that she was leaving the post, saying that “serving as the United States Ambassador to Greece has been the honor of a lifetime.” She added: “I will forever be grateful to President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for entrusting me with the extraordinary privilege of representing the greatest country in the history of the world.” After offering examples of how she advanced “President Trump’s America First agenda,” as well as “[strengthened] our strategic alliance with Greece, and [delivered] meaningful victories for the American people,” she then addressed the accusations that led to her resignation. “These allegations are false, and I intend to vigorously defend my name, my reputation, and my integrity,” she said. “I will not allow false accusations to define my decades of public service.” Serving as the United States Ambassador to Greece has been the honor of a lifetime. I will forever be grateful to President Donald J. While your time as Ambassador to Greece may be coming to an end, our investigation has not. We have asked you a series of questions, and we look forward to your responses. https://t.co/Dj7s827b0j They didn't make her resign because she was corrupt, they made her resign because she got caught. They don't actually care about the corruption because they're all doing it too. https://t.co/K91eeNz7Dz If your boss asks you to resign to minimize negative publicity while you’re being investigated for improper conduct and financial bailouts from donors, he means shut up and quit, not write a My Dear Diary entry https://t.co/Rsl1q243fy "My Big Fat Greek Firing" https://t.co/Q2y4vDgQID That's a funny way to apologize for ripping off the American people.😐 NBC: Kimberly Guilfoyle resigns as ambassador to Greece amid ethics scrutiny.Hey Kim, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.😅#SheShed #VoteBlueToSaveDemocracy #VoteBlue26 #VoteBlue pic.twitter.com/4HcffEfuV1 Enjoy prison Grifters gonna Grift……..
