You could say that Anne Hathaway’s doctor clipped her wings. The pregnant “Odyssey” star admitted in a recent interview that she was told by her doctor that she shouldn’t do the popular YouTube show “Hot Ones” while promoting her new film, “Verity.” The show’s premise is that celebrities eat increasingly spicy chicken wings while host Sean Evans asks them in-depth questions about their lives and careers. Hathaway told the podcast “Talk Of The Townsends” in a clip published over the weekend that in “Verity,” her character goes on “Hot Ones,” and she ate three real wings on set before having to switch to “dummy wings.” “And then I thought that I was gonna be able to do the ‘Hot Ones’ challenge to do press for this film because it just made sense,” Hathaway said. “But then I got pregnant, and my doctor said I couldn’t do it because I might go into early labor.” At this, “The Devil Wears Prada” star completely cracked up. Hathaway added that she hopes to curse out Evans while chugging milkshakes on his show sometime next year. Hathaway told Access Hollywood in June that she and her husband Adam Shulman had “very low” expectations about her getting pregnant at age 43. “We’re overjoyed because we just know from personal experience not everybody gets this,” she added. “And certainly not when you want it — sometimes not ever. It’s a blessing we do not take for granted.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
