Alix Earle, an influencer with nearly 9 million followers on TikTok alone, said in a Q&A shared this week she has “never read a book.”

“What’s the last book you read?” Interview editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg asked her in a video posted to Instagram.

“I’ve never read a book,” she replied. “Like maybe Dr. Seuss.”

The chat quickly transitioned to whether she prefers platinum or dirty blond hair.

But commenters weren’t about to turn the page on Earle’s revelation.

“Not having read a book since elementary school is not ditsy and cute, it’s embarrassing asf,” one wrote.

Another noted her academic background that included a degree in marketing from the University of Miami and wrote of her claim, “That can’t be true.”

But if it is, at least she appears to believe in higher education.

The “Hot Mess” host, who headlines her Netflix reality series “Earle Meets World,” made a “generous gift” to her alma mater’s business school in 2023.
