It also appears to be the Republican Party’s message to voters for the midterms.

Political analysts say current data suggests a “blue wave” could return the House to Democrats, partly because of Donald Trump’s record-low polling.

The GOP is on track to lose big in the House, unless the party creates a message that convinces voters to keep it in power.

House Speaker Mike Johnson had a chance to make the case to voters during a Tuesday interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” and he did a great job ― for the Democrats.

“What we would do in the next two years is exactly what we have been doing already, and that is putting the conditions in place for a strong America,” Johnson said.

He elaborated further:

“We restored not just American energy dominance and peace through strength, but a vibrant economy. The conditions are there for this to take off, and that’s why the stock market indexes are high, that’s why job numbers exceed expectations. The Atlanta Fed says 5.1% economic growth expected in the third quarter.”

Johnson’s attempt to win hearts and minds by promising to keep the same policies that have led to a war with Iran, higher gas prices and inflation, among other issues, didn’t go so well.

In fact, it landed about as badly as Vice President JD Vance’s thirsty request earlier this month asking voters to “give us another chance.”
