I am a contributor and former editor who has been writing for BuzzFeed Shopping since 2017, with a focus on beauty, travel, and practical products, and in addition to writing, am in the process of getting my master’s in speech-language pathology. Promising review: "My cat loves this, she sleeps in it all the time and loves having the window open to relax and watch the outside world. Easy to put together, soft, comfy, yet sturdy enough to hold both our cats, no problem! Will be buying at least one more again." —Simplysan Get it from Amazon for $23.99+ (available in two sizes and four colors). Promising reviews: "I have bought three of these for different dogs in my daughter's family. All three dogs are aggressive chewers, and this toy, although not completely indestructible, lasted months longer than their other toys." —D Atkinson "Perfect-sized pineapple, which is nowhere near the size of a real pineapple. This is about the size of two golf balls. Very manageable and fun. Perfect for their teeth and gums. Perfect to keep them entertained and the best part for me...when I'm on a work call, guess what? They don't squeak! Yay! My favorite toys are the ones that don't make any noise, but they are hard to find. This is quality, durable material that will last a long time, and I don't think they'll ever get sick of it. Even when they couldn't care less about the pineapple, there's always a chance one can make the other jealous with it for no reason at all. That's siblings for you, LOL." —ItIsWhatItIsNoMoreNoLess Get it from Amazon for $14.57+ (available in three sizes). Promising review: "My kittens love this! They pick it up and carry it around the house! It is super quiet when they are playing, so no super loud, noisy bells, but they keep them entertained for hours! Love the color too, as it is very vibrant! It is very easy for the kittens to use the toy for chewing and it helps them not chew on things they shouldn't be!" —Kayla s. Get a three-pack from Amazon for $3 (also available in five other styles). Promising reviews: "Dog loves this. Didn’t take long to master the toy, but it still provides entertainment." —MJF "Love it. Easy to clean and the dogs play with it for hours." —Maria zettlemoyer Get it from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in two styles). Promising reviews: "Fun little brain teaser for dogs. Entertaining for you and them. Love that it offers different ways to access the food, unlike most puzzle dog toys. My dogs love it." —Sarah "Love this for my dog! It makes her think and keeps her occupied. She does not tear it up, knowing her treats are inside. I started with just one box at a time because she seemed confused with all the different boxes. I just now added the second box. I put the treat in, show her where it is and open and shut it to show her how to open it. Then I found I had to walk away, or she expects me to get it for her, I think. She lies by the box, and then all of a sudden she opens it. I think I have to remove the first box because she got the treats right away and is now ignoring the second box. But it is very interesting training her — we are both learning." —Kindle Customer Get it from Amazon for $9.38+ (available in three difficulty levels and seven designs/styles). Promising reviews: "My dogs love these chew toys. One in particular is a very aggressive chewer, and this one stands up better than other brands we've tried. I really like the fact that they don't lie flat on the ground. My dogs can roll them around on the wood floors and easily pick them up in their mouths themselves." —Missouri Mom "My dog is an aggressive chewer. This keeps him busy for hours." —James Robinson Get it from Amazon for $10.88+ (available in four sizes, three flavors, and a two-pack). Promising reviews: "We’ve had this toy for a couple of months now with no damage, which is a win in my book! It’s very easy to push treats of many different sizes into it, but fairly difficult for the dogs to get out, which is always the goal here. Definitely recommend." —Blix "Strong and entertaining. I put treats into the numerous slots when leaving the dogs for a time. They have stood up to two pits, and no parts of the toy are missing!! They get very excited when they see me stuffing treats into them and don't care that we are leaving." —Kathleen Get it from Chewy for $6.99+ (available in two sizes). Promising reviews: "We foster kittens and their moms. It did its job. This has worked on two of our three families of kittens. The kittens could focus on this and play. Even the moms liked it initially." —Spud's Place "My kitten loves this lil' toy. It's very cute, and she carries it everywhere with her, and she sleeps with it every night. She also loves to wrestle with it and bite it, and it's still in one piece and in good condition. It keeps her entertained for a while. When she's sleepy, the purring helps her to wind down. I like how easy it is to clean; all you have to do is take the battery back out and throw it in the wash. Speaking of, the battery life is really good. I have yet to change the battery, and I've had it for a few months now, and the purring is loud but not too loud. This is a great toy that can withstand a rambunctious kitten and still look good. Buy it!" —Mizan Get it from Amazon for $11.65+ (available in five styles). Promising reviews: "I have a Doberman who is a very aggressive chewer. He runs through chew toys, wooden blocks, hard plastic, bricks — just about anything that he can find, even pine cones, in a matter of hours. This toy shockingly lasted almost four months. I was very impressed that he didn't destroy it in 30 minutes. Oh, but beware of the black and red ornaments — they did come out annnnd of course he ate them." —Beverly "I bought this for my husky, and she tears all other toys to shreds but not this one. Nice compartments on either side of the rubber dumbbell to hide treats, it keeps her entertained for a good while. Great find." —Cpt_Vash Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in various sizes and colors). Promising review: "What really sets this scratching post apart are the fun extras: a toy track base and those crinkly flower petals. My cat was instantly curious and entertained, batting at the toys and inspecting the flowers. It’s adorable to watch and seems to hold her attention much more than a plain post would. The size is compact enough to fit in smaller spaces but sturdy enough that it doesn’t tip over during play. It’s also a great way to brighten up the room with a cheerful, floral touch that doesn’t look out of place in my living area." —llLocaMamill Promising review: "My little dog loves this dog puzzle! He has very high energy, and even with two 30-minute walks every day, he can play for hours. We have several types of dog puzzles, and this one is definitely a favorite. I hide several small treats in the mat to engage him for 10+ minutes. Out of all the puzzles, this was the easiest for him to pick up on, but he has yet to get bored with it. He knows when I bring it out, it means treats!" —Jessica Get it from Amazon for $11.98+ (available in six styles). Promising review: "One of my friends’ dogs has this interactive bee toy, and she loves it so much! I was thinking of getting one for my fur niece, and I bought one for her on Christmas, and she is OBSESSED with it! It entertains her a lot, and she even sleeps with one of the bees! Lol! Cutest toy ever!" —Stephy Get it from Amazon for $14.59+ (available in nine styles). Promising review: "I frequently buy this woven grass mat for my indoor rabbit, and she absolutely loves it! She enjoys tearing it apart and throwing it around; it keeps her busy and away from things she shouldn’t chew. It doesn’t last forever (because she likes destroying it!), but that’s part of the fun. Definitely a great enrichment item for any rabbit or small pet." —Adrienne Get a three-pack from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in two sizes and multipacks). Promising review: "Nicely made, simple to clean. Kept the guinea pig entertained for a good while." —TT Promising reviews: "I had grown weary of watching $15 toys be destroyed within a couple of hours by my year-old Pit. I decided to try this simply because of its low cost, as I didn't feel I could trust the description's claim to be indestructible, since other brands touted the same, inaccurate claim. BUT...This bone has endured hours and hours of nonstop gnawing, and, aside from being roughed up, it has held up. I am so amazed and excited about this find that I am buying two more... one for outside and one for my son's dog. This is a win-win!" —K Family "I bought this bone over a year ago, and it’s still going strong, and my dog is quite the chewer. He loves the flavor, and I love how long-lasting it is. The only criticism I can give is that sometimes the plastic pieces stick to blankets or socks, but I think that is worth it for how entertained my boy is by it. I’m confident in saying that this bone will be around for a long time." —Alana Get it from Amazon for $10.98+ (available in four sizes and three flavors). Promising reviews: "An ingenious device to make your cat happy. My cat loves, loves, loves to have her head, face, and neck brushed. I do it regularly, but I liked the idea of her being able to get a scratch whenever she wanted. I put this up on the wooden side of her bed, where she likes to rub her head anyway. (I used little nails to avoid marring the painted surface.) She quickly began using it. I was a little worried that she might do it obsessively and rub all her hair off, but so far, she just gives herself a few scratches. I highly recommend this if your cat likes to rub their head on things." —Lynx "None of my cats like to play with toys, and it was driving me wild! They have so much energy, but would get bored with any toy within days. I tried getting them interactive toys, anything and everything, for hours and at different times. There is nothing that has kept my cats busy like these grooming tools! I have literally never seen any of them sit and mess with something for more than a few minutes, but my cats will rub on this for like 20 minutes at a time. 100% worth the money!" —Amazon Customer Promising reviews: "Just ordered this cat tree. This will be the third time I've ordered this Armarkat cat tree! My three cats play and sleep on it. The upper levels and playhouse are at the right height for the cats to look out my windows. They love it!" —Blondle the original "Looks nice! Blaze uses it instead of furniture and curtains to scratch! And he loves to play on it! Was easy to assemble. Hits all the necessary without swallowing up the room. Perfect for us!" —Dina Doe Get it from Petco for $140.71 (originally $198). Promising reviews: "Exciting and challenging. This toy really engaged and entertained our dogs, one is 44 pounds, and the other is 65 pounds. They loved the squeak. The 65-pound one destroyed it and had the inner toy in 30 to 45 minutes, the other can't open it but loves it as is." —Chuck Hepburn "My dog loved it. Kept her busy for hours." —Clare L Marton Von Vogt Get it on Amazon for $12+ (available in small and large sizes, in various styles, and as a two-pack). Promising reviews: "My bunny never plays with toys, but I put his snacks in here and he uses it religiously. He got the hang of it pretty much immediately and now loves this toy. He is very food-fueled, so this is great for getting some enrichment and exercise going." —Rose W Get a two-pack from Amazon for $9.99 (available in two color sets and other pack sizes). Promising review: "This toy is very durable. We’ve had it for about two months, and it’s still completely intact. Every single toy is ruined within minutes. But this one is winning the battle. And it keeps her entertained for a good while! It’s a must-buy!" —Hector Flores Get it from Amazon for $13.99+ (available in four sizes and two versions). Promising review: "My cat loves to hunt, so he uses it to hide in the tunnels, jump out at us, and try to scare us. Lol! He plays with it every day. He has his claws, and there are no holes in the tunnel; we have had it for months. The only complaint is that it weighs nothing and always blows around. Guess that’s just the life of a cat owner." —Shallan cook Get it from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in 31 colors/styles). Promising reviews: "This little guy has a fluffy exterior, durable rubber interior, and a squeaker so difficult to access I genuinely forget it's there most of the time. It's the holy grail of dog toys, IMHO. It's designed to be destroyed, which I LOVE. After those first few play sessions with the Hare Raiser, the cutesy cover started to fall apart, and I was admittedly bummed (mainly because I only ~skimmed~ the packaging when I first purchased this bad boy, and didn't understand)." —Danica Creahan, BuzzFeed contributor "My dogs love the 2-in-1 toys from Barkbox. I bought this and some other toys for our dogs. Keeps them occupied for hours. They chew off a couple of pieces, and the rest is left whole. Nothing is better than Barkbox toys and would recommend others to try these products." —Sok Chea Sandhaus Get it from Amazon for $17.99 (also available in five other styles). Read the rest of Danica's review of the Bark Super Chewer Hare Raiser toy here! Promising review: "I was skeptical when it first arrived and considered returning. My reason: my doggie did seem to know what it was at first. 🐕 But in no time at all, she's wild about this goofy ball. I've examined its durability, and she (whose bite force is that of a pitbull) hardly put a mark on it! Man, those goofy sounds it makes, 😆 as long as I hear that, I know my doggie is having a blast and keeping occupied." —Julius A.W. My dog is very particular about the toys he likes to play with. He's been attached to his Snuggle Puppy since he was a puppy; he enjoys tennis balls, and he LOVES socks (not a toy, but he thinks they are); every other adorable dog toy we have bought for him just sits in his toy crate feeling more abandoned than Andy's toys did when he donated them in Toy Story 3 (or so I imagine). My dog is very food-motivated, so I was excited for him to try this toy, and he is a huge fan!!! I'll put a few of Zuke's mini dog treats into the toy, and he'll get to work, biting and trying to flip it over with his paws to reach them. He looks so proud of himself once he gets them. It's the cutest thing. Get it from Fable for $24 (originally $29; available in eight colors). Promising review: "I bought this on New Year's Eve, and my 14-year-old cat LOVES this toy. She will try to get our attention so that we can turn it on for her. She has dragged it around the apartment and would try to play with it even if it's off." —Izzy and Iroh Promising reviews: "I rescued a pit mix from the shelter and needed chew toys for her. She loves all three of these toys. She’s an aggressive chewer, and so far, the toys are still intact. I will definitely buy more of these products and recommend them to anyone with a medium to large dog." —Lara "My dogs love these, and they have lasted a shockingly long time. They gnaw on them, throw them in the air, drop them, and are just rough on them. They have held up incredibly well. These are among my dogs' go-to toys and have provided hundreds of hours of entertainment and enrichment." —Josh Get a three-pack from Amazon for $15.99+ (also available in other pack sizes and colors/styles). Promising review: "My English Mastiff (and the biggest baby ever) loves his ducky. He has ripped up other toys, but not his beloved duck. He has had it for a few months now and brings it everywhere around the house with him, even sleeps snuggled up with it. I don't know why dogs seem to love this toy so much, but I would highly recommend purchasing it." —Kristen Get a pack of two from Amazon for $10.78. * Things Sure To Come In Clutch If You’re Traveling With Pets * If You Think Your Pet Looks A Little Bored, Make Their Day And Buy Them One Of These 28 Things * Products That’ll Help Stop Pet Odor In Its Tracks * Products To Keep Your Pet Entertained When They Aren’t Going For A W-A-L-K * If You Live With Stinky And Messy Kids And Pets, Keep Your Home Clean And Smelling Great Thanks To These 27 Finds BuzzFeed Shopping is service journalism first: our writers and editors spend all day shopping so you don’t have to, vetting products, fact-checking brand claims, and surfacing what actually helps in real life.
