Do we spot a new seasonal sourdough flavor? Patty is a food and drink writer/editor whose work has appeared in Eater, Food Network, The Kitchn, and more. Costco’s bakery just keeps the good stuff coming. These mini pain au chocolat are sized just right for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or sneaking into lunchboxes as a sweet surprise. Think California Pizza Kitchen’s iconic barbecue chicken pizza, but Korean style. This pie is topped with marinated beef, onions, carrots, and mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, plus a finishing drizzle of barbecue sauce. It’s an easy weeknight option when plain pepperoni just isn’t cutting it. Pumpkin spice season is officially here, and this syrup makes it easy to bring the flavor home if you live near Costco in the Midwest. Drizzle it over pancakes, stir it into coffee, or use it anywhere you’d normally reach for maple syrup for a little extra fall energy. If you’ve ever craved a cinnamon roll and thought that even a can of Pillsbury took too long to bake, well, you’re in luck. Sunshine Buns’ fluffy rolls take 45 seconds in the microwave, not counting the time it takes for you to slather on the cream cheese frosting once they’re warm. Giada De Laurentiis' favorite Italian cookies have hit Costco shelves in mini form. Don’t be fooled by the hefty size of the 80-count bag, which comes with three flavors (hazelnut, vanilla, and chocolate). The individually wrapped crispy wafer cookies go quickly. Costco is making it very easy to look like you put more effort into lunch or dinner than you actually did. This ready-to-serve meal features creamy burrata, salad greens, tomatoes, kalamata olives, and a balsamic vinaigrette. It’s a combination that’s sure to impress at any upcoming gathering. This sweeter, juicier cantaloupe is made for squeezing in the last few tastes of summer. If you haven’t tried the viral two-ingredient melon ice cream, now’s your chance. This ready-to-cook salmon brings sweet Thai-inspired flavors to the dinner table with almost zero prep. It’s an easy shortcut for a weeknight dinner, especially with rice and a quick vegetable on the side. Stellar Snacks’ pretzels got the Costco variety-pack treatment. The twists are so irresistibly crunchy and buttery (but without actual butter), it’s easy to forget that they’re actually vegan. The 36-count pack comes with three popular flavors: Simply Stellar, Maui Monk, and Bold & Herby. A little chill in the air doesn’t stop my son from asking for ice cream, and his favorite brand, JonnyPops, recently brought these colorful striped popsicles to the warehouse’s Midwest, Bay Area, and Southeast locations. I may buy them for my 7-year-old, but I have been known to grab a JonnyPop as a little treat for myself. Noka’s organic smoothies are an easy way to work some fruit and vegetables into your day. The strawberry-pineapple pouches contain five grams of plant protein, no added sugar, and prebiotic fibers, but most importantly, they taste great. The smoothies are shelf-stable, so refrigeration isn’t necessary, but I like to toss a few in the fridge. Costco’s sourdough starter has been busy. Since launching its own sourdough bread earlier this year, the Kirkland bakery has gone savory with an olive and rosemary variation, and now, with another sweet one: a fall-ready loaf studded with a trio of dried berries and pecans. Costco already has a deep protein bar selection, and now there’s one more brand to choose from. Aloha’s plant-based protein bars are designed for convenient snacking, with organic ingredients and a lineup of dessert-inspired flavors, like the chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cup featured in this exclusive variety pack. Keep caffeinated for all of your fall activities with a dozen of these conveniently packaged canned lattes, available at Midwest Costco stores. The trio includes S’mores, one of the newer additions to La Colombe’s growing list of flavors. Loaded baked potato soup is fall comfort food at its best and this is the Costco find you need for chilly nights when you’re craving something warm and filling, but don’t have the time or energy to make a pot of soup from scratch. Love, Corn is great to have around for times when you want something crunchy but don’t feel like the usual chips and crackers. This variety pack gives you snack-sized packages in three flavors: Sea Salt, Sweet & Salty, and Sour Cream & Onion. If you love Belgian Boys’ mini pancakes, then these fluffy bite-sized waffles are for you. Serve it in the morning with maple syrup or enjoy it as a sweet treat with whipped cream and fresh fruit. Lunchables has entered the snack game with what’s essentially a mini, kid-friendly cheese plate. The snack packs each include crackers, cheese, and something sweet, and come in a pair for sharing. Fly By Jing’s Chili Crisp has already earned a devoted following, and now its noodles have made their Costco debut at locations in the Southeast. The noodles are ready in six minutes and come with all the seasoning components, including the signature mouth-numbing chili crisp. Fall has also arrived in the dairy aisle. Noosa’s seasonal variety pack brings autumn-inspired flavors (apple pie, vanilla bean, and salted caramel) to its rich, creamy yogurt, making it an easy breakfast or snack when apple season starts calling. If you’re not quite ready to trade your refreshing summer sips for a pumpkin spice latte, not to worry. Spindrift’s new teas recently entered Costco. The drinkmaker stays true to its “real squeezed fruit” mantra, infusing black tea with raspberry or lemon and green tea with peach, but unlike its signature sparkling waters, these are non-carbonated. Is it too early to start buying Halloween candy? Judging by the sweets-packed aisles at Costco, the answer is a resounding no. These fun-sized Snickers pumpkins are a brand-new offering from Mars, which says a whopping 70 percent of US adults still opt for chocolate. Once Upon a Farm has turned fruit and veggies into one seriously fun snack with these little wheel-shaped bites. They’re soft and easy to eat, with a naturally sweet fruit flavor that makes them feel more like a treat than something pulled from the produce aisle. The farm-themed shape is a nice bonus for kids who need a little convincing to try a new snack. Chicken biscuits are moving from the drive-thru to the freezer. Keep a stash around for days when a protein-backed breakfast needs to happen ASAP. These Costco-exclusive Mason Dixie sandwiches, made with buttermilk biscuits and seasoned chicken breast, heat up in just three minutes. A bottle of chimichurri can turn a basic dinner into an exciting one. This sauce from Good Foods — made with cilantro, parsley, olive and sunflower oils, red wine vinegar, and seasonings — is as simple as store-bought gets. Spoon it over grilled chicken or steak, toss it with vegetables, or use it as a sauce for sandwiches and grain bowls. The two-pack is available in Southeast and Northeast Costco stores. Making hummus from scratch is delicious, but there’s not always time to haul out the food processor. Enter this Little Sesame trio, which offers a taste of its creamy classic hummus and two flavored variations: Herby Jalapeño and (my personal favorite) Golden Garlic. These strawberry-filled pastry pockets from Veggies Made Great are an easy grab-and-go snack with vegetables tucked into the mix (there’s even cauliflower in the icing!). Think better-for-you Pop-Tarts when you’re not in the mood for a complete sugar bomb. Olipop’s mini cans are made for anyone who, like me, prefers a little variety without committing to a full-sized drink. The assortment gives you several flavors to choose from, including fall-appropriate Crisp Apple. Reese’s fans, rejoice. This 36-count variety box not only comes with bags of the brand’s classic peanut butter-filled chocolates but also includes snacks like Reese’s-dipped animal crackers and pretzels. Who knew bananas would be the biggest thing in coffee since, well, pumpkin spice? If you want to give your drinks the cafe treatment without the coffee shop price tag, a splash of banana milk from Mooala will do the trick. The plant-based milk is made with just three ingredients and is easy to swap in whenever milk is called for — smoothies, chia seed pudding, you get the idea. Do I need a dozen cups of Petit Pot’s French-style chocolate pudding? No. Am I going to buy it anyway? Very likely. Because not only does it have a deep chocolate flavor, it really is as “extra creamy” as the box advertises. Mighty Spark makes its snack sticks with chicken, giving the portable protein a lighter spin without sacrificing that smoky, savory flavor. Depending on your region, you’ll find a combo of Original, Honey & Jalapeño, or Teriyaki flavors. These power bowls pack a lot into a relatively small package, with cilantro-lime chicken served alongside rice and vegetables for a complete meal you can heat and eat. The bright, citrusy flavor makes this a particularly appealing freezer find when you want something more interesting than another frozen pasta bowl.
