The top hooks are thin enough that the door will require NO modification of a door with standard clearance. If you have no handle, you may have to figure a way to keep the bottom if the rack from moving. A small screw with C-clamp would do it. It comes with a piece of plastic that I don't know how to use. The storage area will hold two large blankets or a pillow and a blanket, books, board games, it is great. This is perfect for an entryway, living room, bedroom or play area. A short one is included, but I found it difficult to use with larger hands. A regular Philips head would be best to use. The cabinet is sturdy, and the legs do not wobble. The cabinet easily fits two pair of size 13s sneakers next to each other on each shelf. If you plan to store boots or any taller shoes, you should be able to fit them if you remove the bottom shelf.
