“Eat all your food before you leave the dinner table.” Good parenting or bad?

"Yes, this was really a thing. I knew a kid who was sent to a high school military academy (a somewhat famous one) for misbehaving, so that is certainly a thing.

"He’s missed everything, including their first words, first steps, first football game, etc. He always says he massively regrets it, and he can never get that time back. Fair enough, he drives a brand-new Range Rover, but for what? Have kids young, work enough to live a nice life, and work more and earn more when the kids are grown up."
